can the bt be done for amex? or only for visa/master allowed?

Interesting. Why would it reduce ability to take loan of rm100k with rm10k Bt? Wouldn't  bank assess your total monthly commitment and ensure it doesn't exceed a certain percentage of your net income?

that's right.

10k CC outstanding means the min 5% payment = RM500

200k housing loan for 30 years is around 1k per mth, so the RM500 monthly commitment reduce borrowing capacity by RM100k.

Reason I am asking is I am planning to take up the Bt promotion to earn points but I always pay in full every mth.

Yes. On a lookout for property now too. So forseeing to apply loan in near future.

Hence asking what will be the possible solution. Understand from earlier posts putting in fd is one solution but do not intend to tie money in low interest fd.

Examples, swipe my Amex and BT Amex statement balance to AEON Watami cc. Both are existing cards. 0% interest on 6 month equal installment amount without charges.

I have a question here, let's say I have swiped my watami card today, does it mean I have to pay the minimum amount (or even pay full) before the due date on the 2nd of next month?
