A few points 2ponder :
1. My FL User Manual advises/recommends use of 20W50 EO. Same for pre-FL ie BLM variants IINM.
2. This advisory was changed in later FL variants & FLXs to SAE30 EO, mainly 2cater 2present day car buyers who are more concerned abt FC, it is presumed...
(NB. P1 SCs still do NOT use SAE30 EOs! But use a compromised grade...in the middle between 30 & 50! Now why..? )
3. There were pictorial comparisons posted of differences between main bearings design in Campro engines and Mitsu/other makes...missing EO lube holes!
That omission was shown 2b main cause of faster &/or worse wear in the bearings!
4. So the choice of EO grades wld thus depend on one's priorities, namely better FC (save some $$ on fuel) or longer lasting engine thru reliability/less wear & tear on engine bearings/parts...

Yu are the Paymaster...yu decide...
