i would prefer FFX has the best storyline and the game play still ok for me..followed by FF7 the story also t3h best!!1too bad i cant understand FF8 for the endings what does it mean?!
*
Many ppl cant get the story of FF8, me included but after searching and finding some info, I finally get the meaning of this series, although it is a major spoiler to many ppl, so if u want to know more, pm me biggrin.gif

Back to the topic..

FF6
- Graphic wise, its indeed the best in the time of release (not now ofcourse tongue.gif)
- Gameplay , I have forgotten how many times i played this game, but I can assure u its more than the total time i take to study tongue.gif
- Character / Storyline , the main reason why I think this series is the best. From the "Treasure Hunter" Locke to Shadow to GoGo , I love every single character of the game
- Sidequest , I think it has the most sidequest compare to others, this is relative comparison since I dont really know the exact number, Collosseum battle rocks biggrin.gif

FF7, FF8 ,FFIV, Tactics all come very close to be the best , but FF6 top it off

FFV have a great gameplay (Job system) that is used similarly in T and TA but overall its not that great

FF Tactics Advance is the series I played longer than any others, its very addictive but with a simple-minded stories, its not the best ,but may be the Best Gameplay Award thumbup.gif

FF 1 and 2, no comment, very basic gameplay, remake of this make it worth playing though.

FF3 , still cant get a chance to play it , will try it sooner, NDS here i come! biggrin.gif

the newer FF9,10,12,X-2 is okay but cant be the best , its graphical the best yeah, but what I see in a game its the overall satisfaction, good graphic doesnt mean good game.

FFXIII, from the trailer, its awesome (eye candy as usual),have 3 diff set (XIII,Agito,Versus) and together with PS3 ,maybe the best ff yet , who knows biggrin.gif

Untill today still think FF7 is the best RPG I ever played. The storyline is what I like most.

for me, the order will be:

storywise:
ffx, ff7, ff9, ff8, ffx-2

gameplay wise:
ff9, ff7, ffx, ff8, ffx-2

till now i'm still playing ff9, cuz i really like the battle system and the features in it...ff7 is good as well, as there are also many things to do in the game itself...

let's just hope ffxiii live up to its name and be the next great rpg...

Whats good about FF7 is that the storyline is very interesting..And there are so many things that is hidden which u need to explore..Makes u repeat playing that game even though u finish that very very long gameplay..I still remember myself trying so hard to get that gold coccobo, destroying all those robots(not sure wats their name anymore - emerald, ruby especially)..Hidden character, so many things that are nice..so definitely FF7 the best...

FF9 wasnt that good to me personally..too hard the gameplay.FF8 would come second then FFX and lastly the one that i dislike most, FFX-2...Pointless storyline, weird gameplay and battle style...

My 2 cents....

To me, I love both FF6 and FF7 equally. Both had really good storylines, and both had some real nice sidequests and battle system. FF6 has a bit of an edge with better music and more characters, and of course, the most coolsome villain in all of FF, Kefka!! rclxm9.gif

FF4 was good, with a nice story and nice characters, but hampered by the "old-skool" RPG thinking - too many random battles.

FF5 was excellent!! Loved the job system, it's probably the best system in FF and has been refined in FF Tactics. Also had some very memorable characters, of course the star was Gilgamesh with his awesome music and the very memorable "Excalipur" incident laugh.gif And he kept his promise of "returning" when he returned to FF8 rclxms.gif

FF8 was ok, but hampered by the battle system. The Draw system was sooo tiring, needing you to draw spells, and you only have limited uses.....

FF9 was great. A very memorable story, with FF going back to its "roots" or so to say, with each character having the standard jobs already assigned to them.

FF10.....was ok in parts, but overall kinda lacking the epic feel of other FFs....FFX-2 I won't even mention, since I played 5 minutes of it and dropped it like a bad habit...

thats it my friend, u just said it , I still think Kefka > pretty much every other single villain in the gaming world biggrin.gif his laugh is evil brows.gif

FF8 drawing is tiring but magic in ff8 seems like useless anyway, just to junction for the stats ,not for use, a few spells is cool though like the aura and stuff
Limit Break and normal attack is enough for the game , the gf too is nth but to add ability ,exception, Doomtrain Roxor The Boxor tongue.gif

FF7 revolutionized the series.....but i dont think any of the future series will ever...ever...ever be able to surpass the CLOUD SAGA..........it was like reading a phantasy novel....the others seemed like playing a game....
