May I know if anyone pay for Puspakom testing report? The salesman asked me for RM 150 saying buyer has to pay and ETCM doesn't cover? Please advise, thank you.

QUOTE(perseid2013 @ Aug 31 2013, 09:46 AM) Did you trade in your old car for this serena? If yes, then probably the RM150 is for puspakom test. Starting from July 2013, if you are selling your car, you need to get certify from puspakom. The test is only RM90, but RM60 is for the runner to take it to test. For new car testing, cost RM400 already included in the car price. Thank you perseid2013 for your sharing. I think I got a bullshit salesman who had bull me for the past 1.5 months. I booked a white car on 12th july and still waiting for my car. He specifically told me that the RM150 is paid for the new car testing and I will need the report in order to sell my car in the future. This post has been edited by supergk: Sep 1 2013, 11:43 PM

QUOTE(wondercar @ Sep 28 2013, 11:47 PM) U probably wd want to do a reset on ur avg mileage counter n test it again When I first drove the car, it show 7.8km/l and after that I made a trip to Malacca. Then it achieved 10.8 km/l but till now it is averaging 9.9-10.2km/l. My mileage is 17++km and had my first 1000km service already. It can't get 12-14km/l fuel mileage. I think maybe we can get 12km/l only if we travel a long distance that get you to 14km/l and when you are back to city driving, it can still average around 12km/l. But for almost pure city driving, it's averaging 10km/l. Or should we (for those getting 9-10km/l) go to service centre and ask them to reset the engine till we get around 13-14km/l?

Another thing is, I can smell smoke coming into my car once a while and every time I go through bump, my rear seat have sound, yeck yeck sound. Anyone has the same problems?

I am having the same problem.... First jerk was really terrible when I was going uphil probably around 5okm/h as if it was going to break down... Within a month, I have another 2-3 not so terrible jerks... I was planning to send it for checking during my 20k service but I think that I should send it for checking immediately!

QUOTE(ocphangaz @ Aug 6 2014, 06:51 PM) one problem i'm facing is car jerking when i'm slowly rolling with soft braking... it's like the S-Hybrid confused whether to start or off the hybrid function. Also the car have problem trying to climb steep hills.. more than 35 degrees with full 8 adults. even on sport and off eco mode. seems like CVT is meant for normal driving, not on straining jobs. do you have the overheating issue when at N? if the fans are running fine, then it's probably thermostat. Finally had my car service and checking on the jerk or "feel of sudden breakdown kind of shaking". These major jerks happened about 4 times in the past 2 months. The service centre said that there were some error codes detected about plugging in my car. But no further explanation on the cause of it. According to him, there are three levels of error codes differentiated by colours- red, green and I forgot the other one. Mine is green which means very mild error with no action needed. Just reset the codes. I don't understand it also. "The car should be ok now. If the jerking happens again, please send it back for checking" said the service centre. So I will try it out for till the next service. Maybe your car has the same problem as mine.
