A word or two on the issue of legality, no one is illegal here,
even if you bought it from LYN sellers.

It's perfectly legal from business/law side of view.
Remember its Maxis themselves that verified our registration.
No one would let thieves get into their own house right?

Perhaps LTE-on/off is defined by a flag in your account.
As simple as changing that value from N to Y will launch you into the realm of 75mbps.

On a side note, SS2 getting > 10mbps anytime anyday since quota.

Or maybe there's a dedicated database containing only LTE users.
Then all he/she need to do is pop your name inside.
