I am using type 3 since it was launched and I must say that the navigation is much better than my Waze. Waze is better in terms of getting the latest happening on your route such as accidents or police or traffic jams. Although the latter Google Maps also provide real traffic update via options in the "Lab" menu.

Some people just don't want to root their phones although it is easy to do. That is why there is a Type 3. I'm still using the Type 3 although I already root my phone and although the version is old but it still the best online navigation for me.

What exactly this google "navigation" is supposed to do ? I start up the application, it says it's not available for this country, but nevertheless, can still enter the destination ( the source is automatically filled up ) and shown the turn by turn direction to the destination. This pretty much the same as what you get from the PC, asking for direction with google map.

I also run the google program "map", it turns out to be almost the map as "navigation".

I am pretty confused with the offering of the various components of GMS.
