QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Jan 14 2013, 09:45 PM) I saw on Aus ebay, they selling the wireless charging stand for RM 310, i hope the stand wont cost that much, it's just the charging plate with a base - like a tombstone... or you can do ur own DIY wireless charger. but the charger will be as big as ur Lumia 920 box |

QUOTE(aobk84 @ Jan 16 2013, 09:58 PM) Currently Windows Phone 8 is really power inefficient 6 hours idle with mobile data on eats 30% battery. 6 hours idle with wifi on sucks 40% battery My mom's S3 mobile data + wifi switched on only consume 10% battery after 6 hours. |

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Jan 16 2013, 10:34 PM) How in the world does wifi sucks more of your battery life than mobile data. This must be a lie. I fully charged my phone around 3pm, mobile data switched on.My Lumia 920 last a day on Wifi with normal usage. With daily usage on mobile data I could last half of the day. You guys never use smartphones before? I'm quite surprised that everyone who uses the Lumia is complaining. The battery life is the same on iPhone and pretty much other smartphones. Not quite sure with all the complains but maybe you guys got a defect unit when it come to batteries. Mine are just normal when it comes to battery life. My battery now is 64% |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jan 16 2013, 10:35 PM) with wifi connected drop 5% in 6 hours on note 2 3G mode This usage is from morning use non stop means I really browse the Internet non stop until it reaches 1% and not say average but use 30% and the rest standby 6hrs 5%, so nice... My lumia is really nice, just the battery life problem that has been bugging me. |

QUOTE(ImbaSteamulation @ Jan 16 2013, 10:41 PM) I assume your phone does not have portico update installed. What disturbs is me is that when you left your phone idle for 6 (straight?) hours, wifi turns off itself, which in my case does not drain as much juice than yours. The problem lies on the applications that run in the background, it's true that so far some of these applications isn't completely compatible with WP8 thus causing such extensive power drainage. So far I'd avoid installing such apps (Facebook, Skype) until I get the Portico update how to get the portico update? |

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Jan 16 2013, 11:19 PM) Remove apps that you are not gonna use. Check background apps and etc. The problem might be because of incompatible apps on certain apps. will try that and see if it improves. You think Portico update is gonna fix the battery issue? Well think again. After reading almost a quarter of the pages in the feedback thread for Portico update. People are complaining that battery life has gotten even worse(most of the people). Read the feedbacks here http://forums.wpcentral.com/nokia-lumia-92...e-feedback.html I'm not really pleased with the feedbacks and i'll not update to Portico since it only gives a few improvement, nothing major. I'll wait for an even never update which is much more stable. Me too. I'm very satisfied as well. |

QUOTE(xSean @ Jan 17 2013, 11:30 AM) ya lor, i also fedup with this fellow...there are pro and con, and no need keep telling us.... My mom S3 battery 2100 mah, can on wifi 24 hours with mobile data on 24 hours, quad core summore, last 2 days without charging with normal usage (Take calls, sms, email, whatsapp, web browing) and with 20~30 useless apps installed. say note 2 battery life good..sure good lar, 3000mah ..how to compare with 920 2000mah...if lumia 920 put 3000mah also good battery life... But lumia cannot. So this is something Windows Phone user not happy about. Ok ok, I know someone will say that I should use back android. Windows Users are always like that anyway |
