Experienced the first random reboot since I bought the phone in December. Happened while I was surfing the People's Hub and with poor connection on a moving LRT train.

happened to me twice...the phone reboot on its own...
both also when using data connection, while i'm in the office with less than ideal signal...
so in a way, i suspect the reboots are caused by poor data connection...
at home i on wifi and switch off data, didnt experience any reboots...

I think Nokia has serious continuous issue with announcing thing with the right timing

Not again

Makes me wonder when Microsoft would buy HTC and create their own Nexus line of WP. HTC is so much easier and cleaner to buy than Nokia.

is more likely a mistranslation...

Nokia possibly considering Android? We're skeptical. [Updated]

oppsss, it was already posted... blush.gif

my phone just acted strangely this morning...after using the phone to see some articles using wpcentral app and few mins later, i cant turn on the phone, i press the power button, no respond, at the end, i just press the bottom volume button + power button to perform soft reset, luckily it can turn back on...

i'm really thinking of flashing the portico update, to see if it solves the rebooting issue...

sevennet, i was wondering, since you have already flash the portico update, do you still experiencing random reboots?
so far my random reboots happens when i'm using data, usually after using whatsapp...today is the first time, i'm experiencing this...at home when i'm connected to WiFi (all the time), with no data turn on, i dont experience reboots (touch wood)...

i did not flash my device to portico but still at the original base APAC version of windows phone 8 because would like to have a smooth upgrade in future.

restoring process of the phone is just too tiring and definitely not worth at all - except for gaining an experience.

would suggest to wait a while since Nokia started to roll out the update to other countries. will come to us real soon

my bad, i thought you flashed to portico...
i guess i will wait till the OTA update, to see if it solves the reboot problem...
hopefully is not some hardware thingy...

What baffles me is that, Snapdragon S4 can only handle up to 20MP. Either they downscale the camera (but news everywhere are saying 41MP), or it's the new Snapdragon 600 or 800 processors which is capable of 55MP and 4K videos.  brows.gif
I do wish Nokia uses the power of their cameras as an excuse to stuff in quad core processors althogh windows phone doesnt need that much power for now, but they still need high end specs to convince more ppl to buy their products.
Guess im getting my hopes a bit too high although i wont have the $$ to buy one  sweat.gif  - and my next phone will be in 2014. Hope by then they combine both large sensor and OIS together.

I also hope as Nokia advances to push the hardware innovation, MS will also start "maturing" their windows phone OS...there are plenty of improvements that need to be done, and I hope MS wont be taking too long to implement them...

official portico update for MY start on March 2013. ==" I just saw from nokia MY fb
wait again....WTH !!!

this news is disappointing...
feels like i want to go to nokia service center and have it flashed to Portico...
i know i can do it by myself, but seeing i'm experience random reboots once in a while, i dont want to use any method that they might point back to me saying that i cause the problem myself...

bought a white wireless charger with my RM150 voucher...loving the charging without cable, can put on the table next to the bed for nightly charge...
now, i just need MS to put back that wireless sync back and i no longer need USB cable, well unless emergency...

Where you bought it? How much?
*
The price is RM319, minus voucher is RM169...bought at Nokia Store Low Yat, the one on the 2nd floor...

Stand or plate?
*
Is the wireless stand, when I reach the store, only left this white wireless stand and black fatboy pillow...
If it was red or yellow, I would have gotten the pillow...

Got stock again?
*
I called quite a few shops on the 14th, with Pyramid, Gardens, Paradigm all no stock...then I called lowyat (the one on the 2nd floor, not the ground), and they say they still have...
