Do you have to do a factory reset if you change regions?
*
I changed mine from Malaysia to Singapore. And all I needed was a restart.

hi everyone... im thinking of getting the Lumia 920.. mind sharing the battery life of the Lumia 920? thank you in advance smile.gif

The battery life is inconsistent. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's horrible. It's drains especially fast when certain background tasks are left on.

Nokia announced that Portico update is rolling out for international 920 and 820. Bad news is that it'll take until Mid-March for all territories to get it. Wonder when Malaysia will get it.

I downloaded Snes8x and the first game I installed was Super Mario World too.

Regarding cases I am using my matte black 920 naked since I bought it. Still no scratches.

Skydrive is like Dropbox. Store your files online and you can then access it from a browser or Windows Phone 8.

Hey guys , wanna ask
got anyone have a problem searching for a wifi network? Cause i can't search and find  my wifi network in my work,
other device currently can find the network.
i tried manually entering ssid ,but it said it still cannot find. Any solutions?
*
I've had trouble finding networks also. The funny thing is that it originally could find the network, then later on it couldn't find it, then 1 week later it could find again.

Does anybody have an iPhone with microsim tray? Can you help test if the tray pin ejector can be used on the Lumia 920's tray?

I don't have my Lumia 920 tray pin now. Thought the iPhone pin would work but doesn't seem to. Not sure if my tray has problem or iPhone pin is incompatible. sad.gif

Finally managed to get the bloody microsim tray ejected. It was stuck or something, used a paperclip to bend and pull it out.

Now trying to make the tray more "loose" so future ejections won't be so hard.

Yeah. The tray was stuck or something. shakehead.gif

Wished Nokia had used the Nokia N9 design for the MicroSim tray. No need tool to take out. Just slide and push.

Thought girls these days would know more about this tech stuff. Guess that's why iPhone is so popular, easy to remember the name. hmm.gif

Anyone who just own l920 but thinking to sell or dun satisfied wif the phone or windows os?

Anyone migrant fr android or ios to windows n satisfied or not? Why?

Wanna share ur an experience here? Thanks...

The Good: WP8 is fast and fluid. IE10 is great. Good contacts management, very easy to link a contact's different accounts or numbers. Camera is decent. USB file transfer for ringtones/music.

The Bad: Music app is the worst I've ever used, very unintuitive to create playlists. Cannot filter song names by a search field. No universal device search for contacts, email and calendars. Google apps stuff don't play well. Battery life is inconsistent because some background tasks and apps you install will use more power.

My Lumia 920 suddenly rebooted itself and got stuck at the Nokia logo yesterday. Felt enough was enough. Went out and bought an Android (Xperia TX). Need a reliable phone until Nokia or Microsoft fixes all the problems. sad.gif

Too big. 5-inch right? Anyway I don't want to turn this thread into Android thread. Just saying that I dare not rely on my L920 right now for work stuff.

It fixed itself after I held down the power and volume buttons for about 15 seconds. Anyway I left my 920 at home, right now using my TX. Will wait for official Portico update then try my 920 again and see if got further improvements.

On apps, it's the problem with developers. Im kind of pissed that they are not making WP apps. Their reason: "No one uses it anyway". Oh, really? Fark U. The current FB app may not be as good as other OS's, but, at least, it doesnt crash often like android's and iOS's ones. I heard a lot of complaints about FB app crashing, it did get updates but when old bugs are solved new bugs appear.
*
Developers will go where the money is. Even I would design an app for iPhone/Android first before considering WP8.

As for the Facebook app, iPhone/Android versions of it are still a lot better because they're made by Facebook. The WP version is made by Microsoft and feels a lot different. The top buttons (notifications, messages) are also not responsive especially if the app was just launched.

updated Whatsapp. It still uses the Music API as before, not sure if will still miss the notification of new msg or not. UI seems improved a lot in terms of fluidity and design. And now it supports inputing emoticons!
Now it supports attaching PNG image format from our WP screenshot as well.
The Live Tiles icon also changed.

Finally. Not being able to send screenshots was so annoying.

I want to update WhatsApp, but I'm getting this error: The Microsoft account service is unavailable at the moment. Try again later.

Edit: Nevermind. After trying again and again and again, it worked. shakehead.gif
