QUOTE(ainuddin @ Jan 31 2013, 08:34 AM) for handphones screen type is more important, not resolution. 40" tv 720p and 1080p also hard to see proper difference, what more 5" screen and smaller. for tv/monitor actually it's noticable whether 720p or 1080p... but then again, most ppl need to be at a certain range to see the difference |

Now to shut down i need to go 4 steps when on windows 7 by 2 steps i shut it down. Try alt + tab wow its like hell just to go back to desktop. it's just simply alt+f4 then shut down... and to go to desktop fast, u sir are doing it wrong... btw, lets not getting off topic much this is l920 thread not win8 thread |

QUOTE(bjorn @ Feb 17 2013, 09:23 AM) So best to wait for the portico update next month? I downloaded the firmware... but thinking twice on flashing it... better wait...Your opinion? I also heard some people mention that maxis ones with portico. How to tell the diff? try check the firmware version no. to see if the maxis one is with portico. if the maxis one really came with portico, can also check if there's new stuff like always on wifi etc.. |

QUOTE(simmarjit @ Feb 20 2013, 01:40 PM) But WP8 lacking quality apps ...all the social apps(other than the native WP8 developers) barely any updates one...Twitter official one is rubbish...had to buy Rowi(which is very good) Facebook although the UI and idea is nice ...it sucks ...we still dont have a Facebook Messenger app ...Its the basic apps which counts...if all these apps solid then people complain also no use...No need to start about Instagram...gosh i really dont know whats wrong with MSOFT...they have a baby(WP8) but they are not nurturing it ...i really think WP is cool ...its just a shame that the devs arent playing nice not many quality apps, i agreed...but most ppl shouts out "no apps", not "no quality apps" as usual, quantity > quality for many people |

QUOTE(GKWong @ Feb 21 2013, 05:08 PM) updated Whatsapp. It still uses the Music API as before, not sure if will still miss the notification of new msg or not. UI seems improved a lot in terms of fluidity and design. And now it supports inputing emoticons! Nice Now it supports attaching PNG image format from our WP screenshot as well. The Live Tiles icon also changed. finally less hassle like before |
