Happy to see this is the no.1 thread in Pets Wonderland smile.gif

I cannot go any further with my planted tank coz I need to wait for my plants to grow or die. Than time to time add new plants.

So i plan to get a 5ft tank for Arowana project smile.gif
Wat you guys think...

Minimum they need 5ft. I've been reading a lot about them for the past few weeks.

Guess gona make it into a rock scape...

5ft already 2k for whole set.
I think can discount until 1.5...

I told my gf, if we get married i gona have:

1. Planted tank with community fishes.
2. Marine Tank with coral reefs.
3. Arowana Tank.
4. Koi Pond if I can become rich.
5. And one aquarium for her fishes, puffer especially.

Now high quality baby is about 3k only.
Medium around 1k and normal around 300 average.
Price drop alot liao...
What to scared about big koi la. They are friendly ler. Not JAWS lol...

Bro:
Koi is to look from above one.
If put in aquarium is sideview and their pattern n shape not so nice.
Thats why when I small i got 2 kois in aquarium and I always open the top cover to look from the top. smile.gif

Using DIY c02 didnt cause me any algae boom.
Its cheap.

The downside its a hassle and you cant control the co2 output.
All you can do is spray and pray smile.gif

No spray and pray meaning just get it done and hope it will happen smile.gif

The problem with DIY is the power will be reduce overtime than you have to shake the bottle to let them power up again.

So DIY is mostly inconsistent but it still works to a certain level.

I am not sure.
Pros will always use the proper Co2 tank.

Its not expensive. I using HPA for my paintball. Normally paintball use HPA or Co2.

But I duwan to spend so much coz I already spend alot...
So DIY and see result first.

Ya my HC growing but small small patches. And other plants also growing so should be ok.
Plus they r very green smile.gif

Haha bro soga smile.gif

Bro use 2 big bottles coco cola or 100 plus to put your yeast.
Than 2 of them to 1 big bottle of water only.

This is to filter the alcohol out.
If not your plants n fishies will die bro n sis...

I go home was too late. He already dried up...

If think your right mr doom.

Bacteria is another things.
Use clear water liquid or water change.
K1 media or any good media to cultivate Beneficial Bacteria.

Than should be okay.

You need check valve and control valve with 2 output.

One is connected to the diffuser
Another one is not connected to anything.

So you open the control valve that is connected to the diffuser in the morning.
At night you close that and open the other valve to let the air out.

Simple.

Today is a sad day.

My gf's puffer named Puffi died.
He was okay this morning but he passed on.

Feel real sad coz we always go look for ghost shrimps or went catching some longkang fish for him to eat.

The little fella was a smart one too. We would often use a small green net to catch the feeder fish or shrimp and he swim into the net to eat them.
Eventually, he gotten used to the routine until everytime he saw us he would follow us around form inside the tank.

So RIP little one. Hope you have a better life in Fish Heaven.
We will always miss you~
