Okay, cash upfront to enjoy that 0.1% is a new learning for me! Thanks for the insight.

So how do I register for that? Can I get do it via online (http://www.hlebroking.com.my/v2/default.asp) or do I have to go to any branch & give specific instruction?
Erm, RHB is my saving account for company salary purposes. These days, different companies will ask you to open different bank accounts for salary payout purposes.

So I'm wondering if there's any benefit of having a HLB Saving account linked to HLeBroking account?

Also, I don't really understand your last paragraph & the term paper trade. Could you explain in more detail? >_<

Thanks for sharing =)

You need to go to their office. If you're in Klang Valley, there is one in PJ and HQ in Menara HLA, Jalan Kia Peng (Near Pavillion). You need to be present because they require your signature to open a CDS account and a trading account. No charge to open trading account, but you have to pay RM10 for CDS account. But you can ask them to waive it. Normally I waive it for my new clients.

The benefit of having HLB saving account is that you can pay for shares that you buy easily using hongleongconnect (their online banking site equivalent to m2u). That's all. But not necessary. HLIB have accounts with maybank and HLB, so you can pay to either one. once you open account, you can ask them to teach u how to make payment. or you may ask here. biggrin.gif

lol no idea. index all up but those pennies are not moving. suggesting no or very little retail players around. so not worth looking at i guess because only big boys playing. but that's just my opinion...some people do make money yo laugh.gif

I better keep stocks for investing (i.e. buy and hold for a very long time, like my Tenaga biggrin.gif ), and trade FCPO.

Paper trading is fake trading.
You trade without money.
You just mark down these make believe trades on a piece of paper...

Yeah.. it sounds ci tu pid and a total waste of time....

But there's a purpose in it.

I don't believe in paying tution fees.
Tution fees kills.

So instead of gambling with real money while you learn...
Be patient....
And just learn and master all your skills doing paper trading.

anyway, I do agree with Boon3 advice. Don't bother giving tuition fee to the market. There's only limited amount of money we have (unless u super rich tycoon/cronies), so if you wanna gamble that money, might as well gamble when you're fully equipped. No point going into battlefield carrying nothing (suitable weapons, strategies etc...), you'll just get yourself killed.

I did paper trade for almost 3 years before I started playing with real money.

Be patience, and learn as much as possible. That's the best thing you can do to yourself. thumbup.gif

That time because still a student, no money to do actual trade laugh.gif

But I do joined few competitions (organised by jp morgan, macquarie, OSK, CIMB etc....)

won few thousand dollars from them, and from savings. So by 3rd year, got enough capital already to try my luck in real market biggrin.gif

anyway, as a way of giving back to market, I'm conducting a 2 days course on FCPO trading. The next event will be on March 2014. I've been doing this for quite a while, but never intended to make it as my full time business. More like on request basis., and that also depends on my mood biggrin.gif I never invite people to attend in public forum, mostly are through facebook, and word of mouth.

You can click the link below for more details (don't sked virus laugh.gif ):

Cheers icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: it's not my intention to advertise, just to inform. I could also recommend courses conducted by other people, either in fcpo/fkli, or stocks. and no I did not get a single sen from recommending their courses.

The one in PJ is at PJ City Development along Federal Highway or the one at Kepong?
I guess it's alright for me to setup another saving account with HLB. Thinking of using the HLe app too, seems convenient.
If I use direct CDS, that means I have to transfer funds each time I purchase any stocks?
Oh so that's paper trading lol. Well I kinda been doing that a little here & there, but it's all in my head only instead of paper. Felt heartache sometimes when I make imaginary money lol, that's why wanna try out for real with a small amount now.

I have the theories, but I just don't know how to go about setting up things & actually doing it now.
