Hey TS, based on ur experience, how long does it take for these laptop to drop in price?

Hello all. This is kinda cheap given the laptop size, compared to rivals.

Im not up to date with IT nowadays, last purchase dated 3-4 yrs ago.. anyone can advise is it good?

Im using it for online ie: bloomberg and related activities. Sometimes will have light gaming.
Will the spec not good/sufficient enough for my utilization? 

Then what is the use of i7 ?
How much SSD storage can I exchange for the 1TB HDD storage?
Anyone have the pricelist?

The largest is 128GB? Meaning that 1TB HDD = 128GB SSD?
Or I should put in both? (Can I?)

But our sifuTJ suggested to get a SSD instead of i7..
Okay, I will just get the original z400 with these spec:

Z400T, i7-3632QM + Nvidia GT740M + (1366x768, touch)@RM2799, 4GB, 1TB, W8; 2 years warranty

I prefer touch because it won't be old-fashioned so soon
I'm gonna use this laptop for the following few years!

I would love to have that model if they can exclude the Nvidia Dedicated GPU (as I really don't need extra heat) and W8 (awful GUI). Any idea if that configuration available?

i7-3632QM (35W Quad-Core) is good for me as far as the quad-core power efficiency is concern. Pentium 2020 seems a bit too low in term of power efficiency for its kind performance.

Any other model that you know that come with i7-3632QM but without Dedicated GPU.

I guess it is too bad for me. I am doing CPU intensive task only thus I really, really don't need the extra heat on top of the CPU that already running at 100% utilization. Any further unnecessary increase (from the dedicated GPU) in heat is going to really working against the reliability if my notebook.

I saw some models at our garage sales that fit the bill but sadly to say they are all grey import model. Wonder if our country (any brand) have that kind of model too.

I see. How much the Dedicated GPU will consume while in idle/standby mode where Integrated GPU is the one running the show? Can we actually turn off the Dedicated GPU permanently so it wont use even a milliwatt?

Thanks for the info bro. 20W is a big no, no for me. It even worst than ULV TDP (17W) and more than half of what the i7-3632QM (35W) TDP.... But I still wonder why with the grey import model we can easily find model with Quad-Core i7 (35W) without Dedicated GPU but not with the official Malaysian version.

Elitebook 6930p, 1 clip take out the batter. 3 screws take out HDD. 1 screw access RAM. 1 screw access WIFI card (iinm). Getting to the fan and heatsink involve a lot more work

And users generally don't game on Elitebook.
I seriously don't think the Z400/500 for gaming is a good idea at all

Not so sure for such claim. Boost may needed if i play FIFA or some car racing game/graphic games? Nowadays game easily exceed 1GB.. last time my game is CS and F1, rarely reach 500mb nia... hahahaha
