Drastic measures as in paying few hundred RM of premium from sellers in Garage Sales?

Due to overwhelming demand at the moment, even if Maxis could sell outright tomorrow onwards, they would likely still give PRIORITY to those that are buying the 5S with the plan.

A friend of mine working for Maxis said the same too. But end of the day, it all depends if the individual Maxis centres want to sell to which 'customers', like they may give those that are taking plan first.

Only MOC customers get priority I believe.

Furthermore, this shortage of stock is really not helping the situation.

This kind of questions have no value unless there is someone at the outlet that can reserve one for you. Due to stock limitation, each outlet will just get very little units. So by the time you find out an outlet has such variants, it will likely be sold out before you even go there.

Guys, I wonder is there any way to get the iPhone 5S from Maxis and sign with SurfMore plan contract? The iValue plans don't really seem that attractive to me as I'm heavy data user.

I'm already using the additional quota purchase now and it is NOT cheap at all.

The SurfMore package offers quota upgrades at much better pricing.

If I factor in Voice/SMS/Data together, the iValue plan is actually very worth it - best plan among others offered by Maxis. Maybe I should just be happy with the allocated data given in iValue. Hehe.

As long as you can show them it fails, you can claim. Ask them to press on it at least 10 times.

Just renewed my iValue contract with contract extension by walk-in to Maxis MEP in BSC.

Was a super quick deal for an iPhone 5S Space Grey. Now I gotta find another buyer for this brand new unit yet again. lol.

I asked the Maxis MEP BSC and they do not require any pre-order fee at all. They said many customers called to pre-order, and they were called about less than 1 week time to collect their iPhones. As such, I would be wary if any MEP requests such deposits.

Your area has bad reception? Always go in and out of elevators? Give more details else nobody can help you.

This will likely NOT happen just yet. Maxis seems to give a lot of discounts for 5S and Surfmore plans do not exactly spell profit for them. I wouldn't get my hopes up for now.
