QUOTE(shockk @ Nov 10 2013, 04:01 PM) A friend of mine working for Maxis said the same too. But end of the day, it all depends if the individual Maxis centres want to sell to which 'customers', like they may give those that are taking plan first. Whatever happened to giving ROI customers priority?

QUOTE(shockk @ Nov 10 2013, 04:17 PM) Only MOC customers get priority I believe. Furthermore, this shortage of stock is really not helping the situation. Have to wait then, the subsidy given by Maxis is quite substantial.

QUOTE(PopoPRP @ Nov 11 2013, 11:13 AM) Hi peeps, anyone know what number would come up if maxis calls? Would it be a "private number" or a phone number? Either it would be "No Caller ID" or 123, on my iPhone though.

Strange that Maxis still has no stock while Apple Store Malaysia has already reduced the shipment time for all iPhone 5S colours to 1-2 weeks...

QUOTE(Christopher7 @ Nov 20 2013, 02:21 PM) Just received ROI message about iPhone 5s regarding the shortage. anyone received that too? Maxis is telling us to wait even longer as there is still a "global shortage". And here I thought it was a SMS asking me to pick up my iPhone.

Ok so here's what the Maxis CS told me today. The recent SMS (the one regarding the delay due to global shortage) was only sent to 1600 Maxis users. If you received the SMS, your place on the waiting list is confirmed and you will receive your iPhone in the next batch. The next batch might arrive early Dec, but no guarantees.

Looks like Maxis's stock has been replenished as I also got the SMS to collect the iPhone from 30/11 - 1/12.

I would recommend calling up Maxis frequently to "bug" them regarding your iPhone. I registered for the original ROI, didn't qualify, got put on the waiting list, keep calling them up. The last straw was when I received the second "global shortage" SMS. I called 123, gave the guy a earful about how everybody is getting their iPhones and I'm not and blahblahblah. The CS guy was surprisingly helpful though and said I would be getting a collection SMS within 1-2 days and voila next morning I got a SMS asking me to collect my iPhone at KLCC.
