If u phone stolen you can claim 1to1 if you have the iphone insurance. Not recommended but I took the insurance for peace of mind.

Errr...I don't think smartphone protection by Maxis to be a really good idea. Take notice on Maxis site for it to only cover "Attended Theft" cases. Well, what does this mean? It means the phone got grabbed, out of your hand. Sounds kinda WTF right? Well, there's more WTFness in their T&C for every exclusion you can imagine.

Already discussed in previous thread here. Actually I don't want to make Maxis sounds bad, but this is just plain bad.

Yup, me face same issue. Called Maxis and they said got network upgrade. Even menu for quota check can't use.

i think 3g speed is very dependant on where is ur location
*
Well, my speed got fluctuate today, hovering around half Mbps to 6Mbps. btw Maxis said the issue should resolve already, but then I still can access data balance through menu.

BTW, can some1 clarify me with iValue 1 rm100 package? Do we have 1333 mins of talk time or just 333 mins of talk time ? What does the extra 1000 mins mean?
*
Actually it works like this:
- First it will use up 333 minutes for call to any local Telco.
- After that, the extra 1000 minutes is only for Maxis-to-Maxis calls.

Why that matters:
- Take example of you using the first 333 minutes for Maxis-to-Maxis calls, and the next day you're using up 333 minutes of calls for Maxis-to-others. You'll be charged ala-carte price for those out-of-network calls, albeit you're using the same amount of minutes. It's something like first come first serve.

checked before with maxis. 1000min will be used up first whenever you're making call to Maxis. then, only the 333 min.
*
Now I pening with Maxis already rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Hi I'm new to maxis postpaid plan. Have been using Hotlink for many years. I'm interested in the ivalue simple plan coz I don't really use much credit to call or text, just for data plan. I would like to ask how much I have to pay a month if I choose the iPhone 5 16gb plan? Kinda blur on this. Thanks.

PS: The amount I have to pay for the first time is the price of the phone + rm100? Is that right?
*
Yup, you have to pay RM2079 + RM100 (Advance fee). That RM100 will be used to deduct your first 5 month's bill.

And remember that there's GST of 6% imposed to the total amount of your bill.

is it worth to get ip5 from maxis @ rm1188 for suftmore75 (monthly pay rm75 for 5gb data)?

or just get 2nd hand ip4s @ rm1250?

plz give advice, thanks

*
As per Option A, is the 5GB data your main priority? Also, are you currently subscribing a postpaid plan from any telco?

i plan to use that 5gb data for my ipad. and yes, currently using iDigi88.

was looking for 2nd hand ip4s bt after discovered this deal made me change my mind. coz i might gonna get the Digi prepaid data plan which is 1.5gb rm29/month, no contract for my ipad if i get ip4s.

hard to decide
*
Still, you need to top up another RM1000 for advance fee (of which will be credited back to your bill). So you still have to to shell more than 2k initially.

The more suitable way to see it is that you're getting first year of internet subscription F.O.C. So if you intend on maximising the 5GB for your devices then it's absolutely a good buy.

I bought my iPhone over 2 months alrd, means the insurance thing I can't sign up now alrd?
*
Mine's also 2 months old, and a week ago suddenly got call from Maxis telemarketer selling me the plan. So I think you can still subscribe to it, just call them.

Btw I'm not really keen on purchasing such plan, so I don't subscribe it.

Anyone here tried the value added to add 10 no for 1 sen sms/ 8 sen calls?

Macam Activ10 but for postpaid user. I cannot find that one for ivalue plan. Only available for their normal plan.
*
Well, some time after subscibed to the iValue plan, got call from Maxis and they're offering 2 Value Extra plan FOC for the first month (which is a pretty standard fare for every new subscription). Not subscribing to it btw since it's no use to me.

So it seems that you can subscribe to Extra Ten (1/8 cent per SMS/calls) with iValue plans. Better call Maxis themselves to make sure.

*
iValue Simple is selectable on its Online Store page, albeit not highlighted on the device page.

i having problem with my iphone5 screen lately,i got this phone last year from maxis.

anyone familiar with the maxis warranty process?

will i get a one-to-one exhange?
*
Well, one thing for sure, you won't get your replacement on the spot. Waiting time is around 2 weeks, add another week if you're just sending it to a Maxis reseller not the Maxis Centre (some of them ships to Maxis on weekly basis, depending on size).

Your unit will be exchanged with either a refurb or new unit, also partly depends on the cosmetic outlook of your current iPhone. Refurb or brand new, it will come in a sealed plastic pack containing only the phone (no box). So the only way to check either it's brand new or not is by checking its serial/IMEI.

hey guys..just wanna ask.. pakej komunikasi belia tu dah tak boleh register ke? why did went to the skmm website and i couldn't find the registration form?is it closed already?
*
At first, they said that it's already closed. But then, they've opened it back with registration directly from telcos (no more filling forms prior). And now it's based on "first come first served" basis,

https://komunikasibelia.skmm.gov.my/plain/reachlimit.html

But then, dunno if they've already filled their quota. Better check at telco stores.

Hey guys, new to Maxis. Heard that maxis many hidden cost, what is it about? Anyone mind telling me? >.<

I saw this in my iValue Simple Plan. Call Waiting
This feature is chargeable for customers who subscribe to the 'Standard Plan' and Standard supplementary Plan. RM3
Means that my plan is RM50+3 every month?
*
Well, you can just unsubscribe the addons that you don't really need.

Most of Maxis users are approached by them via phone to bolt-on those so-called "Extras" plans, so that depends either you're gonna save more on not based on your usage.

Another thing to take notice, itemised billing by most telcos gonna costs extra. On Maxis, just ask them to be have the bill delivered electronically. Same itemised bills, without the extra cost. You can just print them in case you need to do some claims or even for tax rebates.

So I'd say you got nothing to worry since your usage is all listed down with the itemised billing.
