sigh i miss fishing so badly....
So far I noticed best color at Jpond for hard lures will be something really silver flashy. shallow to mid water diving. Soft lures,.. white and black works well,.. also noticed Chart tiger SP also good. Like Proclaimer said,,.. SP quite irritating when it comes to setting hook. Higher chances for toman strike in the middle of the pond where the long water pipe sticking out and also near the white steel pondok. Deep divers like fat raps or wiggly wart also good for tomans. |

Max,
Try to go early and occupy hut no 10 or 8. by 730am they should switch the longer second pumps, cast your bait out there. cast about 5 feet away from the pump in the middle of the lake,.. mama pacu hang out there. For baung,.. cast out in btwn hut 8 & 7. Amazonians also like to hang out just to the left of hut 10 closer to the pumps along the shore, no need to cast far out. Other good spot is in front of the counter, cast to the middle of the pond |

QUOTE(SneakyLeaky @ Mar 8 2013, 10:57 PM) MH = medium heavyusualy MH rating is 8-20lbs,.. thats should be OK for most multipurpose fishing. Any current or under water current in that dam you heading?? Getting baung or any cat fish species will be easier if you have current,.. just use bloody or some fragrant bait. Let the current drift the taste and smell,.. you will be surprise how sensitive those barbels are detecting food. happy fishing. Cheers |

QUOTE(vince316 @ Mar 15 2013, 06:05 PM) Good enough for basic use but have not heard or read any reviews on it. More importantly,. hows the after sales support? This model is good because u can just throw it out there and move it around with the floating sponge. Other branded ones need to be tied down onto a pole or shaft mounted on boats. |

QUOTE(kayent @ Mar 20 2013, 01:47 PM) Need a favor here guys. im looking for this lure, currently i can't find it from where i am at the moment. Any kind soul who happen to drop by the tackle shop and happen to spot it do let me know. am willing to bear the cost & postage etc. Havent gone window shopping for months.... but for Yozuri items,.. you should check out Sam's place & Digital tackle.http://www.duel.co.jp/english/products/lin...ight/index.html Im looking for the 66mm version. Red or Blue will do. 'Something' ate it few weeks ago & snapped my leader clean in the process. As for EAK,.... any fluttering, slow sinking lures will definitely attract those lil pocket rocket pacus. So far we landed them on Ofmer Wander 50, Storm Fluttersticks, Grubs SP, small spoons. Bottom dedaks and bread goot for the catfishes like Patin and Keli. Spinfly for the whats left of the PBs there. Again,.. distance and accuracy is all the technique you need in EAK,.. pacus swims in schools and often goes frenzy,.. if you can cast and land your lure right on the splashes,... you are for sure to land something. Beware of potential snag places, especially the jetty across the lake. Few sunken dead trees there took some of my lures. |

QUOTE(hamstrex @ Mar 20 2013, 03:38 PM) oh... so you are suppose to cast onto the splashes, instead of near.. i tend to cast everywhere possible Depends on what sort of splashes bro. If its a rempit Toman hunting alone then you cast near the splash hoping the fish swam that direction. But if Pacu school,..you canst onto the splash,.. cos theres more than 1 fish there. |

QUOTE(hamstrex @ Mar 21 2013, 10:48 AM) oh i want to ask usually how long a leader you guys put, before the clip or after the clip?? and usually the leader is hard or soft and bigger or smaller diameter better? Its up to you bro. Some like leader 2 times the length of rod and kep snipping it shorter whenever its fraying. There is no specific rule, generally me and my kaki use 1- 2 arm length (tip of finger to shoulder). We join our Braid to Leader with knots without using clips. ----[braided]-----Connecting knot--------[leader]--------snap/swivel + lure Useful knots for casting are FG knot GT knot Albright Double Uni Again,.. there is no right or wrong method in fishing. Some uses : ------[Braided]----swivel-----[leader]-----lure+snap as in what type of leader ,.. you need to know your terrain and area when you go fishing. Paid pond like EAK, 10lbs leader is good enough. you can go up to 15lbs too. Not many big fishes to catch on Lures. If its bottom or bait fishing then maybe you wanna try 20-30lbs. Wild fishing, you dont know your terrain, safer to go heavy like 15-30 for lures. Because Lures are expensive and it get snag onto sunken stuffs. River fishing like Tarpon or Juvi sebaraus,.... i think 10-15lbs shd be good if the rock are mostly rounded. Floro and Nylon usually are thicker when the poundages number goes up. So go with the poundage instead of the diameter of the line. What i usaully do is, maintain the same strength. 20lbs braid with 20lbs leader. If is want bigger fishes in Exotic,.. i will up the leader to 30lbs. My Current setup 6lbs braid - 10lbs FC leader 10lbs braid - 12lbs FC leader 20lbs braid - 20lbs Mono leader 20lbs braid - 30bls FC leader last reel runs on 19lbs Mono only.
