ok. according to some lecturer who gave a talk on this topic a while back:

Grade Points (GP):
A, 4.00
A-, 3.67
B+, 3.33
B, 3.00
B-, 2.67
C+, 2.33
C, 2.00
C-, 1.67
D+, 1.33
D, 1.00
F, 0.00

(* i'm not sure about the existence of grade D+ & D, but at least the GPs are correct for their 2 corresponding grades sorry i couldnt jot the list down fast enough)

so wat u do is, let's say u're taking 4 subjects. u add up the 4 GPs, then u take the average of it (which is dividing the sum by 4). there u have ur Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
