Most OLED especially Samsung's screen appears to be traffic-light-ish color is due to the nonsense pentile RGBG pixel arrangement. OLED is trumping LCD tech regardless of TN, IPS, PVA or SLCD gen1,2,3,4 variation in almost every aspect from viewing angle, color coverage, power consumption to thickness due to active organic lightning element. Problem with korean OLED is the corner cutting in order to save cost in their inferior pentile arrangement panel.

What people are commenting on Xperia Z's display has very little to do with color gamut.
as a matter of fact, huge part of mobile BE2 engine that sony slaps into xperia has huge gamut enhancement algorithm in it during multimedia playback.
What's noticeable in xperia Z is the serious off angle washout that is noticeable even in youtube video, and this has nothing to do with gamut or even worse if you think this could be some sort of silly privacy filter. Especially when sony says they did the zero gap thingy between the glass and the LCD in Xperia Z which is supposed to enhance viewing angle.

This could be a let down for me for such a highly anticipated device. Those who insist that you look straight onto your phone at 90 degree most of the time, i agree. But off angle is going to happen accidentally ALL the time as you move your phone around. And even if that's only a tiny percentage of the time, my brain is definitely going to b**** about it.

Exynos is the first ever commercial chip to implement ARM's big.LITTLE architecture.
What Samsung misled people is through the word "Octa". The Exynos has 4 Cortex-A15 core with 4 Cortex-A7 cores and thus has 8 cores in total. But the big.LITTLE architecture doesn't allow all A15 and A7 cores to run simultaneously which means at the end of the day, only 4 cores (either the big A15 or LITTLE A7) will be running at a time and thus making it effectively only a quad core processor. imagine if nVidia named Tegra 4 same way samsung did, that would be tegra 4 gazillion.
The hybrid means mixture of high power and low power core in 1 SOC, not mixing a A7 and A15 architecture in one core.

This is nothing like intel turbo boost at all. these ARM cores does not overclock themselves in any way.

Power consumption wise, Cortex A15 architecture is known to be the MOST power hungry ARM's RISC design to date. ARM's design allows Cortex A15 TDP up to whopping 8watt at which architecture such as Qualcomm's Snapdragon and even intel's power hungry x86 Atom hit just 2watt under full load. In most cases, manufacturer such as Qualcomm and Apple skip A15 and license ARMv7 instruction and build their own processor from scratch despite Cortex A15's high performance.
nVidia Tegra and Samsung Exynos are the rare one that has decided to be lazy and just slap the A15 straight without redesigning. (Probably due to their ARM licensing limitation too)

Pressure sensor is just the Sony's way to name the barometer.
Barometer sense atmospheric pressure and can be useful in assisting weather prediction as well as height according to sea level. This API and sensor was first introduced by google in 2011 with galaxy nexus.
It has absolutely nothing to do and will not help in anyway with touch input.

Modern smartphone and synaptic laptop touchpad are all capacitive based touch sensor. Little or none of them utilize even a slightest pressure which is why you wouldn't be able to press using your finger nails. All so-called "pressure setting" especially from your laptop touchpad are derived from the static charge of your finger.

And those hybrid big touch screen someone mentioned earlier? those are infrared based optical sensor, which are pretty inaccurate and dumb in my experience.
And heck, finding a modern gadget that is still utilizing resistive touch (pressure based) is one hell of a challenge.

make no mistake, i'm a sony fan myself and i have been extremely excited since the day this Xperia Z leaked on mobile review russia.
