Hello ASUSmy,

I have recently purchased ASUS PCIE-AC66 with my Maximus Hero. I have massive Windows boot up issues and I checked online it seems the PCIE card is not compatible with Z87 motherboard.

I quote from Newegg,

Unfortunately, we have discovered some incompatibility with the current chipset of the PCIE-AC66 and Z87 motherboards. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are taking steps to fix this issue so please contact me for further details so that we can help resolve your issue. You can reach me at cl-jeremy@asus.com if you still have the card and are experiencing problems with it.

Regards,
Jeremy

Is there anything I can do about it? If it is a hardware issue, does this mean that I can not use my PCIE card with my motherboard? Can I have refund or so?

Anyone used ASUS GT-AC5300 before?

Any feedback or reviews? Is it worth the money over AC86U?

Just get the AC86U, if you are not sure.

Perhaps you are right, because AC86U is RM1k vs GT-AC5300 RM2.1k

Twice the price but dont think the performance is twice...

Review coming in 2 weeks.

So far I can say that it is the fastest wireless router that I ever used.
*
Fastest in which sense?
I understand that it has quad-core processor however based on other reviews, it doesn't seem to translate to performance like USB file transfer or acting as a media player...

Can I request for you go complete your review faster? rclxm9.gif

Nice blog by the way. flex.gif

Too buggy, better wait for the newer one.

Wifi radar not working well, some of the basic functions doesnt seem to work such as GPN WTFAST

So I guess AC86U will be a better choice.
