currently i have deco x60 and m9 plus. i want to use vpn at router level. but both cannot be set using openvpn. and i want certain device can use vpn. any model can you guys advice.

note : i still want to us emy x60 and m9 plus

guys, need help here. just bought xt8. one at first floor (main), the other one at second floor. set backhaul 5gh2 to 160 ax only. i can get 250++ at second floor. but at the first floor, i also got 250++. less than 3meter from main router, using laptop with ax200. connection show mine is 1.2gbps. Im on unifi 500mbps

but mine 5ghz2 is visible. try using third band, but the speed is much slower or par than 5ghz1

then i do some changes like universal beamforming turn off, ofdma+mumimo turn on, change rssi from -70 to -60, then only my laptop can get around 470mbps

another thing, i have like 50 device connected, and I have named it all base on location and use. is there anyway to retain all the name for device if i do factory reset? cause base i read here and everywhere, after update firmware, you must do factory reset.

I'm facing same problem like yours. Wireless backhaul on third band. Then i change to ethernet backhaul, and open the third band for other device, then only i can get full speed on main and node. Maybe, just maybe 2x2 5ghz, not fast enough. Only 5ghz2 can utilise 4x4 160

I can confirm for xt8. You can set to access local n local+Internet. You can set user access

For netflix, my ip is my vpn server located. I never tried to what netflix content through asus vpn server

i have 2 phone that still using 2.4g wifi. both does not have internet connection while connected to wifi. it will have internet if connected to wifi that not host by asus xt8. all my iot, can connect to 2.4 asus xt8.

please help

nope, i dont have guest network.

i try reset everything again yesterday night. i stop manual changing channel for 2.4 band (control channel is 11). and both phone (xiomi mi 6 and realme 5i) start working again. then this morning, i notice suddenly my phone s10 connect/disconnect on 5gh2. then i check my network, a few item is disconnect. realme 5i is fine, but xiomi mi6, cant connect to wifi at all. i need to reboot the router again.

im using ethernet backhaul. on 42095

both are disable before this. now all my 2.4 device keep getting loose connection. including cctv and iot

1 router and 1 node. Connect using ethernet backhaul. Factory reset a few time (42905 n 43181). They are on separate ssid. About 40 iot+camera+2 phone connected to 2.4 band. Default setting give the same problem.

I have extra tplink router and connect as AP. 2 problematic phone connect to tplink router, problem solve, both have Internet back. Now i have mix brand set.

Now iot and camera keep dc n reconnect as i check on webgui connected time. I still don't know what causing the intermitent connection. Try change the setting here n there still not avail.

Lastly, i try to enable smart connect, and everything solve. So far system running fine in 6 hours. No intermitent connection. But i can't fully benefit on third band 160mhz. My laptop still using 5g1 while using smart connect.

I have not yet try to connect 2 problematic phone to tplink AP. Cause last time i try to solve using smart connect, it does not give me a good result.

Three days of trouble shooting how to make it work.

Check your cable, must use cat5e or cat 6 to get gigabit speed

Currently on xt8. Try using vpn on router. Expressvpn n surfshark.both download speed around 50mb. Unifi speed is 500mb. I read somewhere saying that router cpu cant handle encryption, that is why speed been limit. Is there any asus router capable to reach near actual subscribe speed?

388 have vpn fusion for wireguard on xt8. almost buy axe11000 to get this function.
