I bought two pce-ac66...and recently upgraded my mobo to asrock z87 xtreme6. Two problems. 1st,There's seems a compatibility problem with the software installation. It seems like 80% fail-to-install luck. If the installation get through, it will work flawlessly. Tested with both unit...the same. 2nd, windows cant seem to detect the unit if its plugged in on x1 pcie. It is pcie x1 2.0 which i think the right spec for it to operate. There's nothing else on the pcie lane. Just the card. I had to plug it on a x16 pcie 3.0, for windows to detect it. Here's my pc info Asrock z87 extreme6,4670k haswell,ax850 psu, intel 330 ssd, fresh install win7 enterprise sp1,install latest intel drivers (inftool, gpu, everything else),asmedia sata drivers...in short, theres no xclamation mark on device manager. And lastly, i want to know if zte mf680 is compatible with the rt-ac66.no info on this modem on the "compatible 3g modem" page. Thanks

Just want to let everybody know, zte mf680 works out of the box on rt-ac66u even though not listed officially. There seems no way to see modem signal strength...which i think important to some ppl. Overall, the signal on 5ghz is excellent, i dont know why my pce-ac66 link only 750Mbps max...where it should be 1300Mbps. Its about 10metre apart, and in line of sight (using wpa2-aes). Anyway, i cant seem to enforce mac filtering that can connect to this router.

QUOTE(ZeratoS @ Sep 2 2013, 09:01 AM) Im one using this setup... asrock z87 ex6 + pce-ac66 ... its true... lockup do occur during installation....my solution is to install the driver only first....once everthing configured, install the bundled software. It's running flawlessly since then. using win7 x64 sp1. but that's using onchip gfx...while using discreete gfx, no boot lockup, no hang, no bsod ever happen.

echo -e "AT+CGDCONT=1,\"celcom3g\"\r" > /dev/ttyUSB0 sleep 5 udhcpc -i usb1 -p /var/run/udhcpc1.pid -s /tmp/udhcpc
Issuing this command through telnet/ssh fix my modem, vodafone k5006-z. More likely, its timing issue

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ Jun 28 2017, 12:54 PM) I am using ASUS Z97M-Plus Motherboard with Windows7 64bits Professional version.. Today I got the ASUS PCE-AC66U. From the picture below, as always I insert the Graphic Card in the Slot A (As my graphic card send for warranty so you can't see it hehe). Today, once I received my AC66U, I installed the PCE-AC66U in the Slot D. After install all the driver and restart, I cannot enter the Windows, keep loading at Starting Windows... But, I move the PCE-AC66U from Slot D to Slot A. It worked! I can enter Windows and working normal. Can I know what wrong with the Slot D? Or I need to setting anythings there? I keep changing between Slot A and D. Same result, Slot D not working with PCE-AC66U. Any sifu here any guide? [attachmentid=8927500] This is a known problem. PCE-AC66 is not compatible with z87/z97. I own two unit of this and cannot be used. Its hit and miss though. Sometimes can boot to windows sometime cannot. The only solution is changing to pce-ac68. Last time asus global issue a free replacement to pce-ac68 but they require full pack including accessories, box and proof of purchase to be sent to tw. Thats was about 2-3 years back. Dunno if their offer still valid though
