Hi guys, I am trying to figure out how to do port binding of my VOIP phone to the asus rt ac87u. The router doesnt seem to let me bind VLan400 which is for my VOIP phone.

Any help?

Hi p3psi892,

In RT-AC87U, you can add the VLAN ID at LAN->IPTV->Select Manual->Then put 400 at LAN Port 3 VID:400.

Thank you

Hi thanks @Asusmy. I have done on the router. And then connect the ATA (from any port) to the router (port 3. though i have set port 4 as well) with VLAN 400. It does not work. Any other advise?

Hi p3psi892,

May I ask, does the TM provide you with an extra device(D-Link) that connect your extra phone line to it?

Thank you

Yes they do. a BTU, a Dlink box for phone line and then the Asus router. I tried two ways.

Method 1

Dlink ( connect 2 phone lines in) > ethernet to router

Method 2
Dlink ( connect 2 phone lines in) > ethernet to BTU

I have not try :

Dlink ( connect 2 phone lines in) > ethernet to BTU > Router
