Hi, my AC86U 2.4G wifi signal keep dropping, many times cannot detect the signal nor the SSID name at all from all devices, however 5Ghz signal no problem at all

any recommended solution to that?

Read from other forum AC86U might have hardware problem for the 2.4Ghz, does the new AX series have these problems too?

I've gotten myself a pair of XT8, with my old AC86U, setup as 1 based + 2 nodes setup for 3 stories house.

I have setup the wifi as smart wifi (on both 2.4 & 5GGhz) and the 5-2 as wireless backhaul

With direct cable connect to based on a laptop, I could get 800mbps that I subscribe, however using my note 9 around 3-4 meters from the based unit, I could only get around 250mbps, the Sony TV also around 250mpbs on 5Ghz and only 75mbps on 2.4Ghz

Also, I have an apple TV 4k (2021 ver) that has wifi 6 built in, it will connect to the node of another unit of XT8 but max speed can only get 330mbps, but average only around 200mbps

Any setting that I missed to improve the speed?

I have bought the twin pack of ZenWifi XT8 during 11:11 from Viewnet with MY warranty but when trying to register the units in Asus website, it says Serial Number incorrect but it can detect the SN I entered is the XT8?

Also, only after 1 month of usage, the unit I used as node cannot be detected using both ASUS apps or the web GUI, both says no Aimesh unit can be detected

I tried connect the node unit using hard wire but same result, even connect direct to my laptop also cannot be detected

The unit had been reset to factory default and powered on with stable blue LED light and tested only 1 feet away from the main XT8 unit

I bought the twin pack XT8 but 1 unit cannot be detected by PC/network etc

Asus said need to bring back both unit for warranty claim, why ler?

I would left with no router if send both back!
