I have it setup in the web console page and the wifi devices can't connect to it (Cannot obtain IP for Open Network, and got authentication issue for WPA2-Personal). I'm using the latest firmware.
Any idea?

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jan 16 2017, 10:56 AM) Hi kingkingyyk, Hi. Can you try updating the firmware from the below link? And also try using different WiFi name. https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/s/5...0BEC1DC553B689Y Thank you I have another issue too. My phone disconnects from the main SSID randomly (It works fine on TP-Link). My computer doesn't (using ASUS USB-N14 adapter). Here's the settings you might be interested in. The channel is fixed to 1. ![]() This post has been edited by kingkingyyk: Jan 16 2017, 01:07 PM |

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jan 16 2017, 04:18 PM) Hi kingkingyyk, Hi, looks like it worked. Not sure you have done this or not, can you try do a factory reset on the router and select different Wi-Fi channel. Thank you Does the router support SNMP? Read that only Merlin supports that and the model is not in the Merlin supported list. |

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jan 16 2017, 06:19 PM) Hi kingkingyyk, Hi, that's fine then.Nope, our router don't have SNMP enabled. But this model got FB_WiFi you can play with. Thank you I have a device attached to the USB2.0 port on the router. The system log shows : kernel: hub 3-0:1.0: port 2 disabled by hub (EMI?), re-enabling... from time to time. Do you have any idea? |

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Jan 17 2017, 02:19 PM) Hi kingkingyyk, Hi, let's see what I can do with it then. Thank you for the information, I have asked my RD regarding the message you get at the system log, it seen like there is EMI produce by the USB device that caused the hub to shutdown the port. And the system try to re-enabling it. Thank you |

QUOTE(jbmsia @ Dec 5 2019, 11:33 AM) ASUSmy Just got the card, no issue with upload speed. The router firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81351 is the latest that I can find on your website. Updating the firmware was one of first step I tried. I will check the TX_RATE and RX_RATE once I get home. Thanks |

QUOTE(jbmsia @ Dec 16 2019, 02:31 AM) Hi ASUSmy I would say, better off finding Intel on this. I found a post in a forum that a user reported the same problem that I had, his AX200 based wireless network card has slow uplink when it is part of the HyperV virtual network switch. The post is here https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/...w_uplink_speed/ The Asus PCE-AX58BT PCIe is also based on the Intel AX200 chip right? |

Just jumped on ax bandwagon with PCE-AX58BT + RT-AX56U (was RT-N18U).
Finally getting solid 100Mbps. This post has been edited by kingkingyyk: Mar 9 2020, 07:38 PM |

Hi ASUSmy, I noticed a high latency issue during SSH between 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi. Router is RT-AX56U + latest firmware.
Combination (Server + Client = Result) : 2.4GHz n [Broadcom BCM43438] + 5GHz ax [Intel AX200] = Reproducible 2.4GHz n [Broadcom BCM43438] + 5GHz ac [Intel AX200] = Reproducible 2.4GHz n [Broadcom BCM43438] + 2.4GHz ax [Intel AX200] = Not reproducible 5GHz ac [Cypress CYW43455] + 5GHz ax [Intel AX200] = Not reproducible 2.4GHz n [Broadcom BCM43438] + 5GHz ax [Intel AX200] (SSH to a Gigabit LAN server and only ssh to the destination server) = Not reproducible It seems to trigger when crossing different WiFi band. QUOTE(wiraone @ Oct 11 2023, 08:32 PM) I am getting error trying to configure using ios app asus router. It gave 'This network is not supported... ' when I scan the barcode. Just use web UI, more functionality provided. Works regardless of platform. Update: Using Android phone now and I could go and set it up. ios app is hopeless since there is no option for XT8 |

QUOTE(wiraone @ Oct 12 2023, 12:27 PM) I am currently using openwrt router, running on nanopi r4s. I had deco m9 before and it doesn't have many features. I believe xt8 has more features that I should run it as router setup rather than AP? I saw that it has features to do ad blocking using adguard. Anyone has using these features before? You can definitely use it as router, then run Pi-Hole in your Pi.In your DHCP settings, give a static IP address + DNS address (to Google DNS or something) to your Pi, then have the DHCP to send the DNS address of your Pi to other devices. This way you get more control over the DNS service This post has been edited by kingkingyyk: Oct 12 2023, 01:38 PM wiraone liked this post

QUOTE(hammerjit @ Oct 17 2023, 11:18 AM) if both units mesh is using wired backhaul then, would the speed be similiar between main node/2nd node? ie 500mbps? Open up the 4.8Gbps band for your device to connect, then you will get Gigabit speed if your device has 2.4Gbps AX wifi adapter. This is what I get with Intel AX210 (XT8 at downstairs) ![]() QUOTE(White2000 @ Oct 18 2023, 11:56 AM) Have some issues with TUF AX4200 some websites not loading the first time, need to wait few seconds and refresh. Have you tried to fix your Wifi channels instead of leaving them as auto?At first thought browser setting, but repeatable on pc and other phones. Affect also play store and apps like Lazada, image won't load but still can access other stuff. Switch to mobile data instantly no problem.
