Help Help just got my unifi upgraded from streamyx.
The installer already configured the bundled Archer C5 router and it is working fine.

So yesterday I wanted to use my own AC-66U which I know is definitely unifi compatible.

However, the wierd thing is it shows connected to the internet in the router but I can't connect it thorough the computer (no internet connection sign).

I'm guessing the Port is not configured to vlan id =500 but there's no where to change this.

Also I'm suspecting it is not connected properly to the internet eventhough it says it is,
because the Wan ip and the gateway has the same first 2 subnet.

Help. I spent 5 hours yesterday looking through the router page and I can't figure out what is wrong.

Just to confirm AC-66U is compatible with unifi right?

AC-66U front page. Notice how the gateway and the wan ip has the same 2 sets of number. This setup is not working.

TM supplied router , archer c5 tplink i think.

Hmmm. Please make sure that you are using the correct unifi's username/password. You may go to the system log - general to verify the error message.

Dear all sifus,

Is there a guide to configure Dual-WAN (Unifi & Maxis) settings on BRT-AC828 router? Thanks!

I don't think it is possible as it will be double VLAN. Don't think ASUSWRT allows such flexibility. hmm.gif

I suggest getting a VLAN switch to trunk the VLAN, it will be a better solution as you can directly use the DUAL WAN port.

Thanks for the suggestion. What if I bridge the Unifi profile (with vlan500) by using one of the LAN port instead of using WAN1 and a normal PPPOE (Maxis) on WAN2?

You can try but I prefer the 2 VLAN bridge solution as it is "cleaner".

Cool. Thanks!

In that case, what I need to do is do get a cheap 5-ports switch with vlan feature and configure 3 vlans as follow? hmm.gif hmm.gif

1) vlan 1 (default vlan across 5 ports) and the ONU unit connected to port#1
2) vlan 500 & 621 for Unifi & Maxis Internet - ASUS Dual-WAN router connected to port#2 (Wondering whether can configure 2 PVID on same port?)
3) vlan 600 (Unifi IPTV) - connected to port#3

What is your current ONU situation now?
For most TM single ONU implementation, LAN 1 is configured for Unifi and LAN 3 is for Maxis.

Switch A
Switch Port 1 -> ONU LAN 1
Switch Port 2 VLAN 500 -> BRT-AC828 WAN 1
Switch Port 3 VLAN 600 -> HyppTV

Switch B
Switch Port 1 -> ONU LAN 3
Switch Port 2 VLAN 621 -> BRT-AC828 WAN 2

It is possible to do it with just a single switch but I separated it for simplicity sake.
Anyways, HyppTV is a bit of a hit or miss, some users face connectivity issues when using the TP-Link switch. I suspect it got something to do with TP-Link Multicast implementation.

Thanks for the detailed info and the URL.
Just checked on the ONU that LAN 1 is configured for Unifi and Maxis on LAN 3. From time being, I think I will configure the switch as follow since I have only one switch.

Switch
Switch Port 1 -> ONU LAN 1
Switch Port 2 VLAN 500 -> BRT-AC828 WAN 1
Switch Port 3 VLAN 600 -> HyppTV
Switch Port 4 -> ONU LAN 3
Switch Port 5 VLAN 621 -> BRT-AC828 WAN 2

It seems like the BRT-AC828 unable to establish PPPoE connection or worst come to worst, your line is down currently. Does the previous firmware cause you such issue?

No such issue on previous firmware. Anyhow, I managed to fixed it by reset the router sweat.gif sweat.gif
Thanks!
