Hi all,

I hardly check my connection remotely as it usually runs on its own. I don’t live in this house often, like just two weeks in a month and other time it’s vacant. However, I have IoT stuff running 24/7, so my router is not turned off.

I just simply opened the ASUS Router app and got a shock by this warning. Was it someone tried to hack my network? sad.gif

Do I have other options other than factory reset it? I forgot how to setup it with my Maxis network. It’s inconvenient for me.

Hi fruitie,

Since the router is locked, there is no other way beside doing factory reset and redo the setup.

Try changing the WiFi password, DDNS name and enable AiProtection.

In the setup process, remember to tick the "Special Requirement from ISP", click PPPoE and select the ISP Profile Maxis-Fiber.

Thank you

Can I ask if it is possible to log in to the Asus settings page and attempt to log in if it is not connected to my network? Or do you mean that person is already connected to my network?

Hi fruitie,

I believe the router already locked, no people are able to log in anymore.

If you want to try, you can use the DDNS you have created or by ASUS Router APP. In the ASUS router APP, you can go to Router Information->About My Router->Look for DDNS.

Thank you

I couldn’t find this DDNS though. Let me think of a way because I won’t be in the house for this month as it’s undergoing renovation. sweat.gif

So, I finally came back to this house yesterday and everything on the app can be connected again after connected to the WiFi. So, no need to reset etc.

What could be the reason if my Asus router takes a very long time to connect after a network disconnection? Even after I restarted the router etc.? It may be the modem issue or router issue now. If it happens again, I will have to switch back to the Maxis router and see if the issue persists, to determine if it is a router problem.

After disconnection, LAN 2 takes a bit of time to come back, and sometimes, even when it is already lit up, my Asus router still shows a red LED.

When I mention slow, it can take me around 10 minutes to restart my router (by pulling the plug or using the on/off switch on the router). I'm using the TUF-AX3000 model.

I hope it can be fixed from my router, as I prefer not to use the Maxis router, which I need to reconfigure again.

Maxis is using LAN 2 from modem to router's WAN.

It looks like could be a faulty modem issue. My LAN2 or LAN 1 just not lit up. Called Maxis and they suspected it’s a modem issue and will be replacing my modem. Hopefully it solves the problem.

It turns out it is not my modem issue as well. laugh.gif
Solved it by unplugging and plugging in again the fiber optic cable though it is not loose. I just didn't want to give up. At that time, I had no other options besides waiting for Maxis Experts to come, my connection was already down, so I tried out everything I could.

So, in short, no issue with my Asus router. biggrin.gif
