Hi all, I bought an ASUS LYRA home wifi mesh system last week, but encounter some issues with the secondary lyra nodes. I set up everything step by step following the instructions using Lyra iOS app, and everything was fine until I realize that once I turn off the power switch and turn on again (I always turn off my internet during bedtime), all the secondary lyra nodes will lost connection to the primary one, and they won't auto connect to the primary node. No matter how much times I reset the single node or the whole lyra network, the problem still exists. Please advice, thank you!
*Do explain in layman term as I am not that computer literate. XD

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jan 22 2018, 07:30 PM) Can you show your entire networking map from TM modem to Lyra? Make sure it runs the latest firmware as well. TP-Link Modem (TD W8961ND) @ 2nd floor > Asus Lyra primary node @ 2nd floor> Asus Lyra secondary nodes (2 devices, 1 @ second floor, 1 @ 1st floor) Yes the firmware has been updated to the latest version 3.0.0.4.382

QUOTE(pl95077 @ Jan 22 2018, 09:58 PM) Hi Fangh0401, From the iOS Lyra app, can you open up show us network map? Is the node to node connection is strong? If is strong it should show 3 dark green lines, if is weak it show 2 light green lines. Hi pl95077, I hv removed the Lyra and put up my old router, so can’t show you the network map unless I go home this afternoon after work to set it up again. I hv tried to move the secondary nodes to the side of primary node, with 3 green lines showing in the Lyra app connecting to primary node. But it get disconnected and will nvr connect back to the primary node after switching the secondary nodes off and turn on again.

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jan 22 2018, 10:58 PM) Why? Streamyx has unlimited quota And both the modem and the Lyra setup doesn't consume that much power anyway If you just want to block your kids from accessing the internet during bedtime, you can setup a schedule to each WiFi signal on the time they can access the internet Well I’m staying with my in-laws and they doesn’t like the modem and router to be on during night time, all those harmful radio waves rumors and waste of electric power saying, can’t convince thm. “

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jan 23 2018, 10:18 AM) The way you setup Lyra should be as below. Turn on the main Lyra, set it up. Turn on 2nd Lyra, set it up and only proceed to turn on the last one. Only the main Lyra should be connected to the Streamyx Modem. I recommend you to turn off the wireless ability on the Streamyx modem and configure it on switch mode and perform the PPPOE connection on your Lyra for the best performance. Thank you blacktubi, will try to do the setup again following your step. But do you mind to explain further the part on "configure the streamyx modem on switch mode and perform the PPPoE connection on Lyra"? How to configure it on switch mode, and how to perform PPPoE on Lyra? Sorry for all the questions, appreciate that, thank you.

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jan 23 2018, 12:08 PM) I phrase it wrongly, I meant configuring your modem to Bridge mode. By changing it to bridge mode, all networking will be done on the LYRA so you will have less issues. You need your Streamyx ID and password. I see, will give it a try and see whether that can solve my issue, thank you.
