There is a note on the traffic monitor page which reads: "Note: When NAT Acceleration is enabled, the wired network traffic bypasses the CPU, which may affect the accuracy of Traffic Monitor. Click HERE to disable NAT Acceleration. " What is that mean? Should I disable or not? If I disable, does it affect bandwidth limiter from Asus router when using?

After I disable wireless radio, the router page shows flashing yellow exclamation mark that say "A new firmware update is now available for your router. Please update to increase system stability, get new and improved features, and avoid security risks. Update now". But I already upgraded to the latest firmware.

Hi erik8lyt,

Enabling NAT Acceleration will help reduce the CPU loading and disabling it won't effect the Bandwidth Limiter.

Thank you
Do you recommend to disable NAT Acceleration?

Hi erik8lyt,

NAT Acceleration will help boost your Internet speed when you have high Internet speed, by default it is AUTO. So far I didn't have any problem with the default setting.

And for your RT-N12HP_B1, may I ask has you do a factory reset after the latest firmware update? The latest version require you to do so.

And the exclamation mark is a notification/alert to let you know how can you improve your router.

Thank you

I read on web that says disable NAT acceleration when using traditional QOS. Disable or enable NAT acceleration when using bandwidth limiter?

Yes I have do a factory reset after the latest firmware update at that time. After I disable wireless radio, the mark seems not show up anymore. If show up next time, is it just ignore it?

Hi erik8lyt,

If traditional QoS, when it is enabled, the NAT Acceleration will be disabled. You can refer to below link which explain more about the NAT Acceleration.

When enabling Bandwidth Limiter, it won't effect NAT Acceleration.

Thank you

Is bandwidth limiter same as adaptive QoS?

This is the result I got after the scan using Avast Wi-Fi Inspector. I checked that I'm using the latest firmware from the Asus Malaysia website and there is no need to upgrade. Should I just ignore it?

That's for enterprise user only. You can ignore if you not using for 24/7 without turn off.

If you need protect from those attack, you need have Firewall hardware, and install End Point security protection.

What do you mean by that's for enterprise user only? I'm home user because I scanned my home network using the program.

By the way, this is the second result I got after the scan. It seems Avast is trying to promote one of its products for solution.

I'm using NT-12HP and version 3.0.0.4.380.2943 firmware.

I can't connect to internet currently. Previously I called TM technicians for help. They suggest me to buy a new router because they said my current router is dying. After they hard reset my router, it worked fine back then. But after period of time, the problem returned.

I'm currently subscribing to Unifi 300Mbps (previously 100Mbps) because of Turbo Upgrade 2018. Can NT-12HP handle 300Mbps speed? If can't, is the speed causing long term damage to it?

If i remember correctly....

Rtn12hp is rated 300mbps max for ethernet.

Wifi, it is a N router, 2.4ghz only, max 50mbps.

If u want better wifi, u need to upgrade to AC wifi, 5ghz, may get close to 300mbps, depends on what u buy.

I live in a double storey house and I place my router at home downstairs. Can you recommend any router similiar to RT-N12HP?
