Hi guys, Why am I keep failing to update the latest firmware for my RT-14UHP? I am currently using 3.0.0.4.376_2671 when i try to update it prompt out: "The router cannot connect to ASUS server to check for the firmware update. After reconnecting to the Internet, go back to this page and click Check to check for the latest firmware updates."

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Apr 27 2016, 06:21 PM) Hi darksin_90, It might due to the link problem on this version, you can download the following version and update it manually. This version require you to do a factory reset because of the change of router log in GUI. After reset, redo the setting again. https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/s/5...363D00A168D2FFYhttp://www.asus.com/Microsite/2015/network...irmware_update/Thank you Thanks! Problem solved P.S. what if I don't factory reset? Seems like my connection is alright after updated to the latest firmware

QUOTE(junclj @ May 6 2016, 12:52 AM) RT-N14UHP should better in wifi coverage. However RT-AC55UHP is better in wifi speed and comes with dual-band - 2.4GHz 802.11n and 5GHz 802.11ac. Besides, it also has gigabit LAN speed. RT-N14UHP is just a fast ethernet, its maximum LAN speed is 100mbps. However, RT-AC55UHP is supported up to 1000mbps (gigabit). RT-N14UHP is a single band with only has 802.11n up to maximum speed of 300mbps. However, RT-AC55UHP has both 802.11n and 802.11ac up to 300mbps for 2.4GHz and 867mbps for 5GHz. Thanks for the highlight! My main concern is WiFi coverage so I guess if I upgrade to RT-AC55HP wouldn't make much difference. Currently I am using RT-N14UHP though..
