Hi Asusmy,

The wireless router provided by Maxis (Huawei brand - but the wifi name is ThomsonXXXXX) is really bad as it doesn't cover the upstairs & front of the house which is where my room is. The router is located at the downstairs & back of the house, and the distance between back and front is about 30-feet (approximately).

I just recently bought a repeater from Aztech and it's a complete waste of money as it did not provide any sort of additional coverage at all. I'm OK with using wifi repeaters as long as I can watch Youtube videos and surf net .

My questions are:
1) Can Asus support Maxis FTTH/replace the router provided by them?
2) How good is the wireless coverage of the Asus router as I've not been able to get any information on this.
3) Do I need to pair a repeater with the wireless router or is the router good enough?

Thanks! I've had enough of surviving on 3G in my room. sad.gif
