I have a DSL-N12U and recently noticed that my internet keep timing out. I check connection status is still connected and ADSL light is stable on the router. When this happens, I will also face problem trying to log on to the router's setting page. I have to keep on refreshing the IP address in order to get to login and access my settings.

I tried to reboot and reset factory settings for my router but still same problem. Firmware is latest 1.0.7.8.

I confirmed that it is not my streamyx issue as I am currently using backup modem/router without problem.

I just tried with the settings you mentioned. It reduces my SNR from 28dB to 7.6dB after changing from Auto (ADSL2+) to G.DMT. And I also cant get full 8Mbps with G.DMT. Stability adjustment of -3dB also did not help.

On further testing tonight, I noticed that my internet will be ok after I reboot the router with all stock auto settings (ADSL2+). But after 10-15 minutes then my internet will not work. As mentioned, my ADSL light is stable and my streamyx is still shown to be connected, but somehow all my devices wont have any internet access. Also tested with LAN with the same results. Router was bought in November 2014 and no problem with it until the past two weeks.

Change back to backup router, no problem even for more than few hours/days so should not be my line problem.

Hi, after I upgrade my DSL-N12E C1 to the latest firmware 1.0.9.7, I noticed that when I stream videos from PC to PC and PC to Android phone, the video will stop streaming halfway. Wifi for all affected PC/smartphones are still connected to the router.

Other than streaming, surfing is ok. Did not try file transfer.

Method I used to upgrade my firmware. Download firmware from internet -> connect laptop to router with LAN cable -> backup settings -> flash new firmware -> press reset button for 8 seconds -> restore settings.

Im interested in getting a high performance router but I noticed that these days it is very hard to find a stand alone ADSL modem. Sorry for noob question but just wondering how do people usually use a router/access point with streamyx connection?
