Hello,

I just bought the RT-N12HP. Managed to get it connected to Unifi.

setup the Wifi. Had some issues in getting it to connect to devices. Had to reboot devices before able to connect to wifi.
Speed and connection is fluctuating.
Had already updated to the latest firmware.
Is there a special way to set the Wireless? This is really troublesome.

Tried reseating the Antennae again and rebooted the router. Now Wifi is not detected.

Reset the router a couple of times to see if it solved the issue but did not.

Hope you can help

u bot new, do u know what model? a, b1, c...?

i have rtn12hp_b1, good with old firmware, updated to this new, also good, no problem:
ASUS RT-N12HP B1Firmware version 3.0.0.4.376.2048
http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTN12HP/HelpDesk_Download/

but it says it is for b1, so u chud check...

actually, there was no need for me to "set up" anything.
only 2 things to do:
.. correct unifi router id and password
.. after selecting ppoe, make sure u select the right special isp requirements, unifi home, see video:

Yeah i bought new. Looks to be a B1.
Reading through the guides here it should have been straightforward but it seems that Wireless is not working properly. Just resetted for the third time and reconfigured. Same issue.

If all the wireless devices in your house is capable of wireless N, set the Wireless Mode to "N Only"
Then set the Channel bandwidth to "20MHz"
Lastly, set the Control Channel to a channel that is not used by your neighbours.

Thanks for the tip. I will try and see if it works!
