Hi guys, so any luck in getting a replacement router for maxis IPTV users? I don't use VOIP. SO can I just get the n66u to replace the technicolor? Btw my btu modem is the new silver one from TM with the lighted TM logo.

Hi sochai2002,

We are still testing the Maxis Astro IPTV on our router. As far as I know other brand not yet able to support the Maxis Astro IPTV yet.

This link given by you is the setting for UNIFI IPTV not Maxis IPTV.
voip and iptv

May I ask, anyone of you tried this for your Maxis IPTV?
maxis fibre

Thank you

I tried the tp-link 4300 some months back. Doesn't work for maxis IPTV. When do you think your router will be able to support maxis IPTV? I think everyone of us are already fed up with the technicolor routers and are hoping for a replacement for our maxis IPTV. Do you have a timeframe for this?

After reading tons of pages here, it seems like Asus Routers are a hit-and-miss for the majority here. So, the question is what is Asus doing about it and why are there so many new users when the problems listed here are still persistent?

Not trying to dis-credit Asus or anything, but I would not buy a product if it is known to cause issues to so many people and hope that it will work fine for me.

Hi ASUSmy,
Do you have someone to optimise my router. Just moved to Maxis IPTV - technicolor router and they disconnected my RT N66U previously connected to Unifi. Willing to pay someone to come over - obviously for this help. I dont want to mess it up fiddling with the router connections.
thanks

Hi,

U can't use the asus router for maxis iptv. You can only use the technicolor router at the moment. If u use any other router, you will not be able to watch iptv, but Internet will work fine though. There are a few tips to tweak the technicolor router for better internet, wireless signal etc and this can be done through telnet.
