Hi i noticed firmware issue in rooter ASUS BRT-AC828 is was already one replaced and now i have the same issue.
I use Dual WAN and Fail Over.
Each few days rooter stops to refresh IP address from ISP provider.
According to provider they se device connected but no MAC is send from device.
So they cannot refresh IP address.
Rooter reporting this as an error than DNS of network provider do not working right.

Rooter then switch to secondary WAN and everything works fine.

After Power off rooter for few seconds turning it on i have my WAN 1 connection back and network provider confirms that then he recieve MAC also.

i have firmware: 3.0.0.4.382_70348

in past i was using ASUS AC68U without any problems.

Hi MarekWRO,

Can you try go to WAN->Internet Connection->Special Requirement from ISP->MAC Address->Click on the MAC Clone and apply the setting.

Do send a feedback to us if the problem still persist.

Thank you

ISM already have MAC address of device... if i clone mac i will get my PC mac instead of rooter mac this will not work.
Or maybe i should put there rooter mac ? ... but this seems not to have sense.

Hi MarekWRO,

This happen after you update the firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_41249? If yes, try factory reset the router and redo the setup. If it still same, try downgrade to a previous firmware version and test again.

Thank you

Hi i found solution... during setup process i have selected option: WAN - Internet Connection > Special Requirement from ISP > Spoof LAN TTL value
When it is set to ON .. all Samsung devices WIFi is corrupted ... 2.4G and 5G
when it is set to OFF all running fine.

there is big issue with latest AX88U firmware 3.0.0.4.386.42095
It is corrupting VPN config... if you have more than 1 user it will delete them..do off and on in vpn... it will not allow to add more than 1 user. i was forced to revert back to 3.0.0.4.386.41700

Hi MarekWRO,

Can you share me the image on how you setup the VPN? And can you help send a feedback using the router GUI Administration->Feedback.

PM me your email address once done.

Thank you

Ok i have solved this. Unfortunately after firmware change some certificates are chenged.
So i made new export... now it is working..
Interesting is that when i enter certificates manually from old configuration i TLS box ... it seems not to work.
Now 10 people working remotely no problems now.
This beta have limited functionality in guest network. Not all options are available like it was in official one.

Hi MarekWRO,

May I ask, have you factory reset the router after the beta firmware update?

If yes, do you use setting file upload to upload the previous setting?

RD trying to understand and duplicate the problem you faced when you unable to connect to the VPN.

Thank you
