Hi ASUSMy.

I bought my very first Asus RT-N65U wireless router at LY earlier today (to replace) my stock Unifi router.

But unfortunately I can't even get it setup. I followed the "idiot proof" instructions given by the Quick Start Guide and use the set up CD provided - and this is not the first time I set a router, but no luck.

The system prompted something like "cannot detect cable"? I have tried several times by swapping the LAN cables, using 3 different notebooks but to no avail. I saw the lights on both the Asus router and notebook LAN slots when the LAN cable is connected. FYI I have even disabled my wifi during the setup process - still no luck.

Next, I tried via the http://192.168.1.1 per the instruction guide. As an alternative but can't seem to discover the Asus and yes I used 3 different notebook as well and still fruitless.

Hope you can help as i hv just given up after 3 hrs. Thanks in advance. Regards JP
