I have an existing N56U and will be getting AC66U eventually, in order to setup AC66U as main router (connected with usb modem for mobile broadband) and having N56U acting as AP. I know that within the administration setting of N56U, I can choose 'access point' which is straightforward. Will this automatically disable the DHCP and NAT option as well? Apart from selecting 'access point' mode, what other setting I need to apply to ensure my N56U operates as an AP? Can I set the SSID from AP to be the same SSID of router?

Thanks. What are the steps involved if I intent to manually configure the IP address of N56U (in AP mode). Do I need to change the IP pool address of the main router (AC66U), for e.g. fixed N56U at 192.168.1.2 and DHCP of AC66U with range of 192.168.1.10 - 192.168.1.254

If I go for same SSID, are they still working independently or I will just see a single SSID in my connected device? Do I need to assign similar to different channel?

I have existing DSL-N12U connected to streamyx and recently I purchased RT-AC66U for extended coverage to my wireless clients. How do I set ac66u as only router and n12u as DSL modem only? I intend to disable n12u router functions (to avoid double NAT) and DHCP activated only for ac66u. Please advise.
