Hi,

I just got me a Asus RT-N12 (Hardware Ver:D1 firmware Ver:V3.0.0.4.260)

I have set it up and now I can access the net via Unifi.

My question is how do I get HyppTV? I have selected PPoE and ticked the Special ISP box for unifi-homeuser.

I have connected the cable to port 4 of the Asus router and the HyppTV box. When I turned on The box, it gives me "ETH" message.

I checked the CAT-5 cable using the a thingmajig with blinking lights I got from pasar road and the cable seems fine. (Worked before with the Dlink. tongue.gif )

Did I miss a setting somewhere? Do I need to change some settings in the Huawei box? Are there further options in LAN or WAN that I have to turn on?

Also is the a detailed site for setup of the HppTV portion?

Thank you.

I can't get HyppTV to work with my RT-N12. Are there any setting besides clicking the PPoE and UnifiHome? The RT-N12 should work for Unifi right? HyppTV and all.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi HiroBoroi,

Yes, the RT-N12 D1 should be able to work with UNIFI. Try update your firmware to the latest. The current firmware is 3.0.0.4.374.813.

Thank you for your reply.

I managed to connect to my media player via wifi. Also I switched the desktop cable from port 1 to 2 and 3. I get the blue blinking lights for no 2 and 3 for both cases. I did not get any blinking lights for port 4 with the HyppTV set top box. I suspect the network port of the HyppTV thing is dead. I will try to upgrade firmware to latest and see if this will rectify. Otherwise linggit 450 fly lorr. cry.gif

p/s - I love the feature where I can access the router setup page from my ipad. rclxm9.gif Didn't know if this was possible for the old Dlink. hmm.gif yawn.gif
