Hi ASUS,

I'm using ASUS modem router DSL-N12E_C1.

How do I stop this screen from appearing when my connection is disconnected halfway when loading webpages?
Because in my old modem (non-ASUS), it will just display a 'Error in Connection' but it's still a Google Chrome page, whereby the URL of the page I'm browsing is still there, so I can refresh the page when the connection is back on.

However, now whenever my internet get disconnected, this page is forcefully placed in ANY browser and the URL is changed to the modem's gateway IP, refreshing the page won't bring back the page I was about to load.
This is a problem as I tend to open a lot of new tabs and I can't recall what are the tabs opened.

You've given me the solution in the other thread but unfortunately there's no such option in that setting page.

You can go to Administator->System->Enable WAN down browser redirect notice->select No.

This will disable the ASUS page from showing up when there is no Internet Connection.

ASUSmy

Today suddenly my 2 months old AC86u breakdown.

Only 1 LED lights up at the router.

Try hard reset by holding the Reset button on the back, no response at all.

Power adapter issue or need to send for RMA?

Hi BlackWoods,

Can you try use the rescue mode to restore the firmware and test again?

https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1000814/

Thank you

Hi, I can't even enter the Rescue mode, as even holding the Reset button for a very long time (up to 1 min), it doesn't give any response at all.

Where can I send my ASUS router RT-AC86U to repair in Penang?

Bought from a seller who apparently imported it from China.
