Guys, I have this problem. I haven't switch on my PS3 for about 5-6 days so I decide to turn it on. After booting I found out I can't connect to the internet. I can't sign in. I try setting up the connection again and when I try to scan my router it says the access point was not detected and with this error 80130128. There is no green light flashing at all and I can't use my DS3 wirelessly. I looked it up on the Sony website and it says this: https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answ...vZUNQYnM2dWw%3D.
Otai here, your help is much appreciate.

Oh I did have the second problem where I tried to update to latest firmware using USB and I stuck at the updating menu loop. But it all solved now.

Just out of curiousity, was your PS3 jailbroken?
*
Of course not. Well, dulu-dulu 2 years ago on first time bought but not anymore. Why?

I'm not sure, because when a system is de-activated there are only 2 common causes -

1) Jailbroken and got banned.
2) You were sharing an account with someone but Sony smelled something fishy with your account and disabled it.

On no.2, there are many variables for this as it can be something like an authorized account transaction, account abuse, hacking, and stuff like that.

Oh wow. Man, I don't do anything. Why Sony? I changed side already. Like seriously, I just didn't login for a week.
My problem is only about wireless not working. Tried to switch on my console using DS3 but it won't work. I can't scan any of access point available around me. Can't use DS3 wirelessly. The wireless indicator on top of hdd not flashing.
I tried google my problem and people said to try open up the PS3 to see any loose wire. May I know what kind of screwdriver that will be using? The one with that special screwdriver something.

Wireless not working?
Try wired/LAN connection first?
And try wired connection for your DS3 as well.

My router is too far from my PS3. The router is actually on my aunty house and I live next door. But I will try it, see how it goes. And no, it not about the wifi range because for past 2 years it worked perfectly.
I can use my DS3 on wired with no problem but as soon as I pull the plug out, DS3 not working. Very, very weird problem I'm having right now.

If wireless for both your DS3 and wi-fi isn't working, then it is possible that your PS3's wireless network card is dead.
The PS3 uses a hybrid Wi-fi + Bluetooth card, switches between one another very quickly. So if either one goes dead, both your wi-fi and DS3 (as well as any other bluetooth devices) will cease to connect to the PS3.

The wire won't just go "loose" like that though.
But if you're adamant in opening your PS3, you'll need a T8 Torx screwdriver as well as a stardard philips screwdriver just to open the casing.
