is there any way to update ps3 games offline? like via usb or something? it sucks not being able to do background downloads and stuff. one of my games update is 1gb  would take forever... |

i dont think it has a significant effect. maybe cut a few seconds off of loading time. the extra heat generated off the drive might not be worth it though.
