QUOTE(panda-man @ Apr 17 2013, 04:29 PM) weird. maybe ur ps3 had some lag during the action scene and the signal for shock was delayed due to that or something. It lags even in the XMB. Tried reset (gamepad and also PS3) and still its lagging. Only with this one gamepad thought. If I turn it off (after mashing with the lag) and turn on another different gamepads, the other gamepad is okay. So I know its the problem with this one gamepad. It comes and goes though. Strange. |

Update. Now its getting worse. Both controller won't sync unless connected trhough usb cable. But when I plugged it out the controller immediately lost the signal and turned off. And I can't turn on the ps3 using the controller. Yes, I have tried the reset through the hole on the back.
As an added bonus, now the ps3 suddenly crashes (stuck and can't turn off using the button on the ps3) during casual browsing on the xmb. Fun times. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Apr 20 2013, 04:30 PM) Hold on, is your PS3 connected through wi-fi? OOOOooooo Crap. I just noticed that the wifi don't work too. My problem/symptoms are exactly like what this guy had (plus wifi cannot connect), but somehow the guy can turn on ps3 using his dualshock. The bluetooth receiver is intergrated together with the wi-fi receiver where it switches extremely quickly to provide data depending on which device needs it. I do not exactly know the problem, but if you're on wifi maybe you could try playing around with the network settings a little bit. Also if you have any other bluetooth devices, like a headset for example, try pairing it with your PS3. Sounds stupid I know, but it's the only diagnosis I can come up with. Guess the problem is the wifi and bluetooh component. Anyway of fixing it? This post has been edited by mechaball: Apr 20 2013, 06:37 PM |

Okay guys. Here is a lesson for everybody (Maybe otai here already know). So If your PS3 have a hardware problem but can still function properly. DO NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE.
e.g My PS3's wifi/bluetooth chip is not functioning. But I can still play games with it. So just now, I update my firmware using USB. And when the bar goes to 55%, tadaaaa... UPDATE LOOP. It seems that during firmware installation, the update process will check the PS3 hardware for problems. At 55% progress, it will check for the wifi/bluetooth module. If theres a problem, it will spit out an error code. Restarting the PS3 will start the firmware update installation process (cannot go to safe mode). So now I have to actually go to a shop that can swap my wifi/bluetooth module to a new one. Oh well... p/s: more info on firmware installation and what it checks during that here. http://forums.cvxgameconsolerepair.com/php...php?f=12&t=1951 This post has been edited by mechaball: May 1 2013, 01:07 PM |

Okay. An update of my neverending problem.
So I sent the PS3 to a shop. An hour later the shop called and said that the PS3 is now okay. Wireless is okay, bluetooth is also okay (also tested with my DS3). Also update the firmware for me (So i am wrong. the wifi/bluetooth module is okay). When I ask them how they go about it. They said that they just reset it and somehow the ps3 is fixed. So when I went home, I tested the PS3 and everything is normal again. Good.Download a bunch of stuff and then it freezes on the XMB. The whole problem happens again. The whole shebang repeats. Then I give up and turn off (plug off the power and hdmi) the damn thing. After about 20 minutes, I start it again. I saw the green wifi (i think) led blinking. Hey, maybe its good again. Yes it does, BUT it crashed again in like 5 minutes. Then maybe I think it might be the problem with its heating. I don't know. Might have to send it to the shop again. |

My friend is using this Celcom Huawei Portable Wifi thingie to connect his PS3 to internet. Well its okay buat since the connection is nat type 3, he can't play multiplayer.
Is it possible for him to change the nat type to nat type 2? |
