If the set is not from SEA region, (US sets costs less because of forex rate), it'll come with the 2-pin power adaptor.
It's a small inconvenience for me personally, i would say.

QUOTE(busyman @ Mar 4 2013, 08:35 PM) hey guys, im going to buy ipad mini 3g, what should i check when open the box? Are you buying new from authorized reseller or used?hope to check before bought it, to prevent any unwanted issue happen XD If used, I'd usually check for the authenticity of the power adaptor and cable. Some unscrupulous seller will swap them out for non-originals. Also, check for dead pixels on the screen. |

QUOTE(toktok @ Mar 18 2013, 06:49 AM) The Smart Cover Auto Lock / Unlock toggle will only appear when you use a compatible Cover/Case with the feature for the first time.If you don't see it, that means you're not using a smart cover, or the cover does not have the feature. |

For those who prefer to buy from retail than Apple online, you can try EpiCentre @Fahrenheit88. The location is a little secluded, with very low walk-in traffic.
Plenty of stock in store. When i was there last Saturday, almost all models and colors are available. The service is impeccable. Look for Samuel. Or the sweet young chinese salesgirl. Both provides excellent customer service. |

QUOTE(Alen_Infinite @ Mar 20 2013, 08:32 AM) I visit a reseller last week, enquire for ipad mini. This happened to me. I bought an iPad mini last week. Didn't activate in store, as I always like to unbox new gadgets at home. When I finally switch it on and activate, I realized there were 3 dead pixels. When talking of on site replacement if found any flaws on the ipad mini, firstly they ask me to send to service centre. I argue with them on this, then they allow for immediate replacement on the faulty unit. Talking about the scratches and dents. Initially they just allowed for replacement if the unit is found dent on spot. again, another arguing, they agree for replacement on major scratches unit. Finally talk about dead pixel, they mention that only dead pixel more than 6 pixel can be replaced on spot. 6 Pixel is totally unacceptable So I went back the next day to claim DOA. It was handled professionally by the staff, and I got my replacement unit. They did not dispute the defects, nor try to downplay the issue with me. If you research the web regarding Apple's policy on dead pixels, for iPhone is 1 and above, iPad is 3 and above, notebooks / desktops are 7 and above. UPDATE: The unofficial, Apple internal policy guidelines for dead pixels: This post has been edited by connor: Mar 20 2013, 10:41 PM |

QUOTE(boonpeng @ Mar 23 2013, 04:43 PM) Hey guys, There's no way to restore to 6.1.2 anymore. Apple has stopped signing as of March 19. You can only go straight to 6.1.3 or stay at 6.0.I am having an extra 64G + cellular ipad mini (brand new) to let go as I am having 32G Wifi with me. Interested can PM me.. Currently is using ios 6.0, planning to upgrade to 6.1.2.. Any idea to do it? Coz the latest is ios 6.1.3.. If you're interested to sell off the 64GB LTE, just post at the notebook/tablet sub forum. It won't take longer than 24 hours if the price is reasonable. |
