QUOTE(puchongite @ Jan 4 2013, 09:47 AM) And people who do development on the problematic area cannot blame it to the technology. If a place landslide without housing development that's none of the problem of developers. If a place landslide after housing development, then it's developer did not do a good job. If we cannot concur mother nature, then don't concur. Don't say old/obsolete technology. huh? I wasnt blaming technology or anything bro. just saying that the hill structure looks different from the days when i normally go there to feed monkeys become lots of soil ended up below. even before this landslide happened, you could see that already. at the back of the hill (near the police station, you could see a big puddle of wet mud because of that. Sorry I use your post wrongly. I quoted your post but I was not specifically refering to your post. I was referring to DBKL blaming the bukit setiawangsa landslide due to obsolete technology.

Developers are like children, just do whatever they want (for developer is to develop and make as much money as possible) and authorities are like parents, it is their job to regulate and control their "children". City council comment on Setiawangsa landslide was rubbish. It was approved on old guidelines but not new guidelines. WTF. then go approve on new guideline and do something before landslide la. quite stupid.

It's approved, then it should guarantees the needed quality. If something can't guarantees the quality, then don't approve ! Simple as that !

QUOTE(gabbylim85 @ Jan 4 2013, 06:06 AM) the reason for the putra heights landslide is different from the bukit setiawangsa landslide. bukit setiawangsa collapsed because the retaining wall gave way putra heights case, there was no retaining wall, and the hill was bare for quite a long time already with no retaining walls, no drainage and without any sort of protection from the elements. City council has never done their work? This post has been edited by SKfolk: Jan 5 2013, 04:30 PM

QUOTE(gabbylim85 @ Jan 5 2013, 06:56 AM) It's not a matter of the developer wants stop job but MPSJ has issued stop order :- http://www.nst.com.my/nation/general/stop-...ndslip-1.196379Now MPSJ has to fork out money to hire consultants to evaluate the situation. Who's money is that ? This post has been edited by puchongite: Jan 5 2013, 08:18 AM
