me, bought a P3 for my sister..

choose it over w7 because its wayyy lighter, thinner, cheaper
better keyboard cover.

and i find 720p is less annoying than 1080p, windows suck at scalling..

been hunting high and low for new or used W700 but no luck. But realised there are i3 and i5 versions.

Can't wait to get my hands on one and dual boot to Android as well.

Hi all, bought my P3-131 a couple of months back. going for the cheapest because of obvious reasons.

I see a lot of w700 users here. and many are complaining about the p3's lower screen and specs. I've been using it for browsing, making videos (windows movie maker), photoshop and web coding (CS2), occational writing and presentations for my class (live writer for blog and Kingsoft office free). not much lag, since I came from an Acer 1410TZ so the experience is actually better on the P3. thanks to the SSD, it's faster for normal use than my office's Lenovo with i7. number crunching works, however (like movie processing), of course, the i7 wins.

for me, the screen is not quite an issue. 1080p belongs to larger screens, but to each his own, right? however the RAM and SSD size is too small for my liking.

so i was wondering if the w700 SSD upgrade can be done on a P3? i did ask acer support but they were not entirely sure at that time.

and does the screen protector for W700 works for P3 as well?

oh, for the stylus, i bought one for RM2 at a RM2 shop. it works well enough, but can't compare it to an active stylus like the one on Surface or Samsung Ativ. not sure if the one mentioned in this thread is better or not, but it does look the same.

I want to sell my Acer W700, just bought last friday (the warranty start last Friday, 30th August 2013)

It was a demo unit, but the condition was pristine, just that a bit dirty the box and the charger.

Reason of selling is too heavy for my wife to use, @ 1st I want to get the surface RT but stumbled with this W700 which give more power + package than just the RT + type keyboard cover lid. (sadly she prefer the W511 which is lighter for just opening email and office usage)

It comes complete set with the P3 version Bluetooth cum Cover set (not the docking station).



Can be COD in KL area (after office hour) or PJ (Office Hour)

Price = Cheaper than the current RRP of Surface RT 64 gb + the keyboard

My Acer W700 ..suddenly there was bubble on the LCD..first i tought the bulble are from the screen protector..but after 2 weeks the bubble area become bigger than i only notice that the bubble are from LCD..Yesterday morning i sent to High point service center in USJ for checking and today about 2 pm received the sms for collection..They changed the New LCD. Very efficient and first class service..Well done Acer..
