Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of The Second (Korean: 라그나로크 온라인 2: Legend of the Second) is a remake of
Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World (Korean: 라그나로크 온라인 2: The Gate of the World) the MMORPG
created by Gravity Corp. of South Korea and is the sequel to the popular MMORPG, Ragnarok Online.

In July 2010 it was announced the first iteration of the game had been scrapped, and a new version,
Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second, would be developed in its stead. The new iteration of Ragnarok Online 2
returns to the systems and mechanics of the original Ragnarok Online while keeping the 3D engine. The game
engine was changed several times since its predecessor opened its long running closed beta in 2007. It was
mentioned that the new version of Ragnarok Online 2 will be using the Gamebryo engine.

Well I can't say for sure but if they do, they don't need to further test. Like when you visit the doctor, they do various scans to identify the problem. If they found it then they wouldn't do any more, right? biggrin.gif

Why after i type in my id and password, the launcer closes itself but nothing loads? I waited 20mins still nothing..My os is win7 64bit..anything i miss out?

Hi guys, I'm experiencing a problem which I can't find through Google.

I managed to login into RO2 and when the screen is trying to load the intro animation (right after the RO2: LOTS appears) the game automatically crash and auto close.

How do I solve this? Re-install the whole thing?

u can login now, and try the job and get friendly with the interface, but all the character will be wiped out, mean the stress test character is just for the test only.

Not sure if anyone hit the same problem as I did.

Here's my problem:
1. Open RO2 client auto patcher and then Start Game
2. Key in email and password in login screen, then click Login.
3. Computer loaded the Shield program.
4. RO2 program started, after awhile the RO2 screen loads with pictures and etc.
5. Seconds after it the program closes and jumps back out to desktop.

No error report/ crash report thrown. Anyone hit this problem ?

I tried running in both Win7(64) and Vista(64) and it provides the same respond. Tried reinstalling it but to no avail. If anyone faced it before and know how to fix it, kindly enlighten me.

drop from mob...and is quite easy get especially those mini boss
my char now using 3 medium bag..

The drop rate kinda high, is because testing or is like that? (drop rate of card)

Some people only do main quest to rush for levels , they don't do side quest or bother to level their profession job / khara quest .

Definitely main server for me.
I prefer the higher population servers in order to easily party and make friends.
Yea sure the 2nd server will probably have less lag but whats the point for an MMO if you're unable to make new friends smile.gif

Edit:

What is the best class to play for working people like me? I wanted to play as priest but looking at the build, we can either go support or DPS build. Not enough stat.

And I think we cant heal undead like the original RO. So I guess support build will be pretty hard for the working people.

Maybe have to look for another class to play. Any idea to share.

dude its not about their race or social standing that we hate most of the pinoys.
the main reason i hate most of pinoys is because they think that tagalog is the main and universal language and that is the first language when they try to engage u with.
i have nothing to the pinoys race itself. i even joined a pinoy's guild during my day at DN taiwan instead of SG guild.

RO2: @Everyone, we're taking the racism issue very seriously and are working on a harassment policy that WILL ensure that players who make racist comments will be banned in OBT. It saddens us to see that despite all the characters looking the same inside the game (minus your various armour), there are those who feel that differing races, languages and nationalities even matter. Beware Asiasoft infamous in game modifications aka in-game contents nerfing . They did alots of unfair modifications/nerfs to their main mmo game Maplestory which cost alots of uprisings among players there . Serious hackers/ botters issues, super inflation in the game, all kinds of atrocities threw at players instead of game currency selling syndicates/hackers...already have enough of your despicable bussiness tactics . Sorry Asiasoft, your bad reputation will go everywhere if you don't changed your bussiness management . For RO2? Not for me...since it was hosted by Asiasoft aka Moneysoft.

Just join the stress test during this afternoon. Need to get use with the game play and the control. Kinda hard to me, still prefer the old RO control.

A question regarding this RO2, is it like last time we just have to grind grind grind or we have to do quest in order to level up faster? During the olden days I only grind grind grind especially using acolyte and archer ks in glastheim lolol

i just noticed that in korea server we no need to face enemy anymore to atk.
god i hate that system that need me to face enemy to atk. really annoying if caught aggro at the back.

for monk, imo equal amount of str/int and then the remaining points into agi or vit - depending on your choice.

monk have a skill which turns int to give the same stat as str.

There's no Dex in RO2.

Adding Str will add the dps..

I miss OnlineGameStation community. also those guilds in Loki like All-Star, WhiteCastle, Konoha, etc.

Funny la this RO2 Admin.. i remember last time they said specifically everyone will be able to join, only need to worry about latency and stuff.

I think they are just scared server won't be able to handle the traffic and history repeat itself, and to avoid further embarrasement, they decided to ip block xD

I am somewhat glad that they decided to limit RO2 to these 4 countries. Players from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam MMO players are always a pleasant to play with.

Well in the case of Phillipines and Indonesia, their own MMO community is big enough to warrant an exclusive server for them.

I guess they just want to segregate the servers by languages, which is a big plus for me in this case.

As you see in the stress test, those pinoy are speaking in their own language which is a really turn off. Just look at RO2 FB and how rude they are cursing and swearing about how they are denied their 'rights' . For me, it actually made me more interested to play the game now biggrin.gif

Felt bad about Indonesia though, they're mostly a nice community, at least they try to communicate in the public in English. Only within themselves they'll start to speak Indonesian.

hi, has anybody finished downloading RO2 from the net? it's 4gb and too slow for my computer to download. Anybody wants to earn some money by burning it or putting it into a thumb drive for me and meet up?

mixed feeling with the fate of pinoys.. i also find them soo annoying but on fair ground, they should not be treated like this. same to other player globally who participated in the cbt and also promoting the sites. sad for indonesians as well since in my 9 years of mmo experience, never got any problem with them.

i thought diablo3 launch was already really bad.. this got to be the most f***ed up game launch in history!

to be honest pinoys are the bane of any online game. most of them are annoying, arrogant and trash talk a lot. there are some cool pinoys tho but they are greatly outnumbered by those retarded kids. i do feel for them and players from other regions who have waited and anticipated the game since cbt.

well at least we won't get to see those retarded tagalog spammers anymore.

Why? They should of seen this coming.. And it'll not be enjoyable for both parties. I've raged a lot when I play dragon nest back then where PVP is one of the main feature that I like in the game. Whenever a pinoy or indon join my pvp room, they'll just teleport here and there.

And they have the guts to accuse me of being lag. doh.gif I've no problem at all going against players from SG and MY. I've had enough of them from there onwards. And it's a good thing they're not gonna be in this game.

I personally support the IP block. Have had my fair share of experiences with Pinoys in MMORPGs. It would be better to have the entire server speak english or something more international. It's annoying to party up with people speaking their own lingo and totally ignoring you. The community in an MMORPG is too important and even the slightest bad experience can deter someone from playing the game any further.

It prohibits friendship and makes the game dull. Our previous RO was great because people actually made real friends (even found love for some). It's nicer to know everyone is from the same country or at least theres a possibility to meet up in real life smile.gif

fixed my initialization error by reinstalling(default directory), apply patch 130103 manual patch, run launcher, then everything ok..just that server is full right now ><

I doubt there is any IP block now, i bet MONEYSOFT only say nia, they will only apply when other region RO2 server launch and force them to do so. Now more player = $$$$$

Alright guys. I've had a few problems too when I reached home and wanted to play.

My PC I can login and create char, up a few lvl no prob.. On my gf rig.. dafug kept getting "Failed to initialize. bla bla bla" and stuck at hackshield bla bla .. then launcher load damn long bla bla

I went back to my main rig and log out. Tried to reloggin again to see if I can replicate the problem. hahahaha same problem liow

So can conclude that it's due to high server traffic la.... server is just too busy...don't need to troubleshoot so much

different game play bro... though I'll say RO gives you more freedom to travel around. Instead of being confined on Dragon Nest. Combat system, definitely Dragon Nest being better.

yes, anyone can play at the moment. its probably because they are too incompetence to implement IP Block lol

only managed to login late last night, my Sorc is lvl 12, chef lvl 11.. First impression is quite good, the game is pretty addictive alright. If not because of work i wouldn't stop playing tongue.gif

too bad the server was too full so I was unable to party with my friends (we were in diff channels)..

You may log into Th/Vn server too, the char will be available at Sg/Ms server too no problem.

Its a lag problem. Never experienced this in CBT and stress test

Added on January 4, 2013, 2:29 pmOverall, very disappointed with OBT. So many bugs/issues like party bug when changing map, mob not dying properly and very hard to get into jormun during peak hours

Yes..u can add watever skill u want right now as an aco....when u change to monk, all ur skill point will be reset and u can't use aco skill anymore....

So just cincai add now....

So is the jormugand server more stable now for those who are playing?? or still same lagging issue?

yeap...according to RO2 forum, it seems they start ban Indonesia and Phillipines IP but for others country still able to play....only those 2 which contribute to very large traffic......

Btw, just wanna ask, the medium bag easy to obtain or not?? all I get from yesterday is the small bag and my inventory very small space only...lol

they nerfed the cd of potions. in kr server cd is only 5sec but here 10sec.

I believe there'e someone with the "DirectX input System Creation failed".

I've encountered this problem and I'm able to solved it. It might not solve yours but this is what i do. *Caution, make sure you know what you're doing

1) open device manager (Start menu > right click my computer > manage; Under 'Computer Management' windows > System tools > Device manager)
2) under 'Human Interface Device', disable all device except 'USB Input Device' (right click > disable). Leave it if it doesn't have disable option.
3) restart your pc.

My friend's account got that same problem too. I did report to GM earlier but dunno when it will be resolved..... The worst thing is tomorrow is weekend so they probably have another excuses to delay this. ==

Hi guys, I'm experiencing a problem which I can't find through Google.

I managed to login into RO2 and when the screen is trying to load the intro animation (right after the RO2: LOTS appears) the game automatically crash and auto close.

How do I solve this? Re-install the whole thing?

Q: Help, The game crashes with error “ActiveMovie Window Rag2.exe”

A:
Step 1 Create a new folder at desktop...
Step 2 Move the avi video from Playpark/RO2/VIDEO to the new folder...
Step 3 Run the Program again.

Or

Delete the VIDEO folder in your RO2 directory, and then find the RO2_Option.ini.
Edit it with notepad and change some of the lines into:
[VIDEO_PLAY_HISTORY]
INTRO=0
And
[OPENING]
SHOW=1

Just reinstall your game OFFLINE. update also using manual (130103). Then only connect to internet and update the launcher. Don't let launcher access your internet BEFORE update to 130103.

sadly for me this game did not live to the hype. with so many styles of mmos to copy from they have to choose wow/perfect world style.

hi, you need to try several times. However, the server is full. You need to wait until the server status has blank for you to fill in. I was tried several at last night until I can get in to server finally.

if i remember correctly, yesterday before patch, it was 2mp per tick recovery while standing and 4mp per tick while sitting. now, half of that.. 1mp standing, 2mp sitting..

Guys, I'm playing server J at ch 13, the server is lagging currently. The whole RO2 world not moving. Thinking of take a break then continue again tonight & tomorrow.

just some hint.. max your primary dmg skill 1st.. it will help alot lving..
those monster not hard to kill even mini boss lol

for consume.. get food better than potion
potion only use on dungeon

Anyone going the path of Knight mind sharing their skill build?

So far i only max first skill and the middle tree i put 1 point each in order to branch to Knight skills

Still have a lot of points not used as i'm not sure what to put. Is Aura Armor important? Seems to add little def only

they planning for 3rd server...never see 1 game that have full server all the time, wonder what is their server limitation.
Cannot blame ppl to afk...all game also like that..blame company for not provide enough space for all users to login

my way... ignore the head crush branch... max bash, battle order, aura strike, armour aura

then 1 on provoke, wide provoke and aura sword... (to open branch)

knighthood... errrr havent arrive there yet... because remake...
