Flash rom, flash simplistic framewok, install simplistic app, do your settings. But keep in mind you loses part of monx theme if you flash simplistic.

I always do wipe clean. sad.gif
Or do you suggest I flash to XXDLK7 again by wiping the existing off? Then only flash the custom ROM again.
*
Have you check with BBS to try to pinpoint the culprit?

Er... isnt it Google maps now can run offline?
*
Still need to download and cache the maps beforehand also right? If you go outstation and discover you did not download beforehand then no map lar. Or oversea and no data connection tongue.gif

Plus papago have an advantage of uptodate maps with lots more POI. Just use whichever that suits you.

Yes and tried to fix it, but somehow the issue is still pretty obvious though not as critical as yesterday.
*
So the issue was what?

Hey guys, I woke up with my phone shut down. How can I check what's the error that caused this shut down? Luckily it's my practice to set alarm on my 2 phones, else today confirm cannot wake up for work.
*
If you are using the same setup as your sig, I suspect its the redpill kernel. Some users have been reporting SOD/Random reboot with redpill and perseus.

Yup
That's what I love, all my favourite features baked right into the rom itself!

Ubuntu? Amazing! Can it run concurrently with android?

Anyways, for DLL5 I actually remembered to wipe Cache, Dalvik and Battery Stats which I forgotten somehow in DLL4. It seems smoother this way too
*
When you flash new rom, cache and dalvik cache are automatically wiped anyway.

oh... but it still feels better such as
1. no more weirded up contacts
2. no more SOD  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
1. LL4 to LL5 should not have weirded contacts cos they are basically the same anyway
2. SOD is subjective to unknown factors mostly kernl settings, UV, rom scripts, etc.. tongue.gif rclxub.gif

oops

some other factors must have contributed to it then tongue.gif

my apologies for attributing all the better things to DLL5 suddenly ahha  rclxms.gif
*
No need to apologize. Maybe LL5 is more stable or monx also did some changes to solve some of the issues. I am just pointing it should not be related to cache/dalvik cache wiping. Wiping cache might solve some app related issues but not to a degree of sod and contacts screw up or smoothness. tongue.gif

thanks a million.  Save me tonnes of time.  Flashed mine with the rooted stock rom in your PM.  Works great now but kinda pointless as i cannot load the full arsenal of my gigantic games - Asphalt 7, NFS MW, Shadow Gun, Mass Effect, FIFA 12, etc and play them on big screen.  sad.gif  Have to leave them on the Nexus 7 32GB.  Or might just revert back to custom rom and swap memory to get back the full arsenal of games.

My wife's will be able to get more benefit since she only streams videos to the big screen.  biggrin.gif
*
Have you tried stock kernel, rooted, init.d support (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1950066) which should allow you to do memory card swap so you can load all your games hmm.gif I dunno just guessing

PLACEBO...too much flying around with Perseus ?
Yes please share, coz I was thinking of the same thing...monx + stock kernel but it was rather late already
Yes read the init.d thing probably try today. Anyway GL to SD probably might work without need of init.d

@Cynox, try GL to SD and see if it works ?
*
Directory binder script or app should work as you dun need to run it early in boot with init.d. Just use those binding app or if you use script use script manager app to execute the scripts after boot. These methods dun need init.d.

so meaning we can mod the stock kernel to support init.d and use the memory swap? no need to use custom kernel to swap anymore? hmmm, but the security hole is still there i suppose..

Yes to all.

how do i activate the immediate DEEP sexy Sleep to save me some batteries!!!

BBS is mainly for observation and data collection. Your phone should deep sleep on its own unless some app/process is keeping it awake.

Hi guys, recently my Note II have this "SD card unmount unexpectedly" and then it will remount. It happened about 4-5 times today. What are your suggestions towards my problem? I thank you all in advance.
*
Test with other sd card to see if its sd card faulty or the slot faulty.

Also on maxis. Dun need to restart or toggle flight mode here. But sometimes the data will connect/disconnect itself a few times then ok already.

Sometimes my Sony Xperia S is also behaving like that. The trick i mentioned can't be used on Xperia S, only must reboot the phone. I'm occasionally facing this issue too with my Note 2 but really rare. btw I'm on Maxis too.
*
I think its a maxis issue. Maybe all these lte upgrading stuff is messing with the 3/3.5g connection. rclxub.gif
