QUOTE(feirie @ Jan 8 2014, 10:30 PM) Hi, I would like to know if the Honda City E Plus which comes with solar and security tint is sufficient to reject heat to keep cool in the car cabin and also able to prevent breaking by thief? I am not sure if I should go for additional tinting as recommeded by the SA additional ones may get u into trouble with jpj if you want to add, add through tint shops outside. at least if lena jpj not as expensive as the one sa trying to sell to you

Just for reference, I went for 5000 km service yesterday. Didn't cross off or change anything from the service item list. Had to pay RM156.20 for everything and received the 25% voucher for my next visit.

According to the above it is roughly RM152 including labor cost so even with my free labor service it was RM156.20. Wahh creative calculation? Then previously 5000 KM service was what - RM220? This post has been edited by Rhadykall: Feb 5 2014, 06:46 PM

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Feb 5 2014, 07:17 PM) I would say the part they quoted is based on mineral oil, but is not fully What's the price for mineral oil and semi-synthetic exactly? From what I've read in this thread thus far, I was under the impression that difference is only around RM20 from fully-synthetic. If so, it's still a big difference when considering that labor cost is out of the equation, no? Around RM70.

QUOTE(winterwish @ Feb 5 2014, 07:56 PM) I'm pretty sure fully-syn cost 70 - 80 more compared to mineral. Semi to fully is around 20 - 30 difference. Hmmm, something for me to consider for 10,000 KM service then

QUOTE(newlangchai @ Feb 15 2014, 01:01 PM) Dear honda drivers, I am lookin into a honda city. To me, Honda service is important. Heard about the service people horror stories. What is your take? How are the honda service? how are what? the quality? the price? price-wise, you can always ask them which is optional so you can opt not to change/install these if it is really not within your budget. as you can read from this thread, if you want cheaper service cost, you can also choose to use mineral oil. do check with the sales agent if the free workmanship offer for scheduled service is still ongoing. can save a lot from that too. 100,000km @ 5 years. after that you can always service outside bro as for quality wise, i've only recently done my 5,000km service so not really in a position to comment much. but so far, nothing has gone wrong. changed exhaust from front to end no problem encountered warranty-wise. rims and tires too but i have yet to claim warranty on anything so yeah lol.

QUOTE(winterwish @ Feb 17 2014, 12:34 PM) New 2012 City now with unlimited mileage @ 5 years warranty. (its good since your car is covered even if you drive a lot (mine already clocked at 55k after 1.5 years), but its bad too since you can't service outside until the 6th year if you want to be covered by the warranty) so far my mileage is around what they expected - 5000km every around 3 months plus they're not that strict (so far if doesn't exceed by 1000km it's okay according to what they answer when i asked) so i'm all good in that department

QUOTE(sapidin @ Feb 17 2014, 03:54 PM) if we exceed the service mileage will it void the warranty? let say i send my car for service at 36,500km instead 35,000km as per service book.. for this you need to call up the service center you go to and ask them got issue or not if send by this or that mileage. if they don't mind then no issue.
