Just wanna ask do you guys normally service in Honda Service Centre or 'outside'?
Sent my car for 20k service and it costs 550 :0
Breakdown:
1xx for semi synthetic engine oil
around 100 for gearbox oil
1xx labour fees
3x + 4x for engine cleaner or something like thar
air con filter...

Is it worth to service in Honda Service Centre?

How much you bought your K&N air filter?
The price I get is RM300.

Btw, does K&N filter really helps in performance?

How's mineral oil compared to semi syn/fully syn? I just switched from 0w-20 to 5w-30 but so far cant feel anything. Might consider mineral oil for next service to save cost 

I'm still a student now so my mum is paying for it, she kept saying that warranty is not important bla bla.. Besides, servicing in SC is indeed costly 

There's CITY i-Vtec 2008YM and 2009YM in Honda's website, so ours is 2009 right?

Today i went sc fix the soft part at the dashboard edge.
Now alot better d, few days past i felt my dashboard also vibrate alot when on little uneven road..
Now they put some span under the soft part, now become solid already !

did about a year back.. around 650 @ GA Serdang.. dont have to change spark plug, our stock can last 100k, but i will change later @ 80k.. what is 'Trans oil'?

yeah do agree.. the noise from tyres and harshness is quite bad for a new car. been driving it 1 week. 90% the road noise is damn audible. comparing with my another car waja 7years with half worn tires, the nvh is much better than city.

yeah..soundproofing the floor and wheel arch will reduce the tire noise. door however would depends. if you want solid thud door then its advisable to do doors also.  for city the floor soundproofing is very bad for a new car, and i believe once the tires are worn out and few years later , the noise would even louder..

Guys, I'm buying a new Honda City E+. do u think the modulo package (RM 2950) + extra accesories (500) is worth the money. Or I should get the body kit at outside accessorize shop ? perhaps u guys can recommend me the  modulo body kit set + accessory will cost.

BTW, I'm staying in Ampang...

for door and floor SP, i recommend KL Auto.. costly but review is damn positive..
or @shorty5 can do the door for good price..

The new city is announced for launching in 2014. who's gonna wait for it? i'm guessing it'll follow the new Vios on features. Halogens, keyless and push start, and of course new body, but same chassis and engine. hopefully better soundproffing too!

Did my 20k service today for RM420+ only.

Removed all the optional item, using mineral engine oil, did my crossing, balancing and alignment outside for RM38 only. Air blow the air-condition air filter and the external workshop serviceman told me the its like new when they open it. By the way, the air condition filter cost RM48 only, might void your air-condition warranty though, but i think Honda is being too much in that case. At least the engine filter i let them change la.

Do count me in if you guys are going to soundproof the floor. Maybe can get better price if do it in group?

city nvh i would say is very gd when it's still...
d engine noise also very fine...
near to none when it's under 3k rpm...
onli d tyre & floor noise is bad...
when cruising around 140kmph...
d wind noise starts to become noisy...
so i guess after SP...
d car would be very nice to cruise...

thanks for the recommendation , and yes, was talking with another City owner today , and it seems the sound proofing for the City is real bad

Here is what we would recommend, start with the floor , we used STP for the most basic package Rm 850 for the whole floor , but if we can get 3 , might be able to get it done for Rm 7xx?

Or boot, basic STP at Rm 380 , FOC one layer of Thermo Sponge, those who liked our FB page should know what we mean

As for the tyre , we are not doing it at the moment, as it is really very very very very subjective, regardless of which famous sp shop u go to, tyre , trust me, might regret paying so much for something so little. Unless, you guys send one white mouse to get it done first

Unlike the floor, same material used on any car, significant difference is there, as for tyre noise, some car spent 1.2k and doesn't reduce any noise, so same method of application might work on one car but not the other...

* there fore we always ask our customer to get a quieter tyre first , we do not wan't customer to regret spending too much on tyre sound proof, we want customer to get out from our place with a smile and positive feedback , and recommending their friends.

And of course Silent Coat , we do have it too

Am not happy with this sc in sri utama

After the last service there last week I found out they topped up tire wiyh nornal air after specifically telling them not to do so...

How I found out was when I wanted to top up the nitrogen today the tire shop told me my tires are all at currebtly 38 psi when I usually only do 30 with nitrogen...

No wonder my ride felt so damn hard these few days...

Now after sownding rm4 for top up I have to spend another rm30 to flush and refill nitrogen...

One question. Did u all manage to play songs from android phone connected to the USB port provided in the car?

I try both iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3 before. iPhone 5 can just straight press play the music in the phone then the car speaker will play the music it's very user friendly, it can even play the sound/music of the apps when I'm using apps. But Galaxy S3 can't straight play the music from the phone maybe need configure on some settings

What is the difference between semi and full? Is we always can request SA to return the remaining oil? If SA didn't return, will he like do some sort of discount?

Huh? Is it? Later need to check out my boot and see. Full synthetic is more expensive than semi right?

if no mistaken I have saw someone comment here is once you are using full synthetic oil, then you cannot turn back to semi.

Can anyone here confirm this?
