As expected. They are still running short of supplies.

Of course, a proper PR move would be to replace your faulty unit rather than fixing, but I guess it was Nokia Malaysia being stupid.
*
Yeah, replacing my phone would be much better. I'm not against repairing if it takes like 3 or 4 days, but c'mon it's been more than a month now. This is downright atrocious. Very disappointed.

I will never get another Nokia again. It's been more than a month since my Lumia is with the Nokia Care. Still no ETA.

Though I don't like Apple, but their customer service is the best. My next phone would most probably be an Iphone.

so am i, my 920 toasted due to over heat!!! i suspect talkbox voice talk burn my radio. it's been almost 1months still  waiting for mainboard replacement. (no sparepart available i guess).
*
Ehh, your 920 still with Nokia? I thought yours are fixed after two weeks.

Nokia service are really bad. Even after I have escalated the case, they still take more than a month.
I think we need to make more noise. I'm thinking of writing a second email to complain.

My 620 is still with Nokia Care. I'm considering writing to the press and lodging a complaint at consumer tribunal. Sigh

of...ur 920 same problem as mine? so after u send for warranty problem solve/ they change a new set for you or repair ? how long it takes?
*
LOL evilpuppy and me have sent our lumias to Nokia Care for a very very very long time and have yet to get it back. Both of us have sent the phone for more than a month. It's the sixth week for me.

EDIT:
Be prepared for endless misery when you send in your Lumia.
I'm so pissed that I'm considering writing to the press & complaining at consumer tribunal.
Please note that this is even after I've written an email to Stephen Elop and escalated it.

yup, i was so frustrated of waiting... !!! considering my was 8th week sent in for warranty!!!  so, did they reply your complaints??
*
I just came back from Nokia Care. They replaced a unit for me. I couldn't add a Microsoft account in the Nokia Care. Because of that I couldn't download any apps. So I came back, hard reset the phone and try again. SAME PROBLEM. hahahahahahaha

EDIT: I got a call from their higher ups. Let's see how this would unfold.

try adjusting your 'time & date' and 'location' to Malaysia's. When I first bought my Lumia 920 I got the same problem and I'm able to sign in into my Microsoft acct by adjusting those...don't let it set to automatic. This solution I found it in Microsoft website.
*
Tried that. I've hard reset my 620, 820, 920 countless times that I've become a pro at it. LOL

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Feb 28 2013, 02:15 PM)
what?? same problem even after replace a unit???
*
Yes! Same problem. Just slightly less severe. rclxub.gif doh.gif

EDIT: So...good luck evilpuppy. Might have same problem even after repairs.
evilpuppy, you probably should escalate the case. otherwise I don't know how much longer you need to wait.

well, if you dn't mind send me a cc copy of your email too so i could attach along with my cases to put more pressure.

yesterday i call amcorp the guy told me next thurday they will receive batch of sparepart but was unable to confirm my replacement available or not!! rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  what kind of stupid procedure they are running??
*
LOL, that's their modus operandi. Receive spare part but don't know if the ones you need are included or not. Received that excuse before. LOL
You pool the cases? I think my name most probably already in Nokia Care Amcorp blacklist as a very troublesome customer. LOL. Instead of arguing with them, I've escalated the cases to the top.

Nokia apologizes for delay on OTA update. Offers free update at selected stores.

lol. Nokia Malaysia is really terrible. Still no actual date of the OTA update. No real reason either.
The facebook admin said that it's an update as opposed to a flash. Don't know if that is true or not.
And the "update service" is available for only two days lol.

There is a difference between Nokia Store and Nokia Care. The list you see are all Nokia Stores or shops. Those only 2 days.... but Nokia Care Centers, there are many and they are not listed. If what they say is true, these Nokia Care centers are available for updates for one whole month.

Nokia Care center locations:

My bad. After I re read I got what you were trying to say. tongue.gif
Still, this sucks. I wouldn't want to go to Nokia Care if I can after my dreadful experience. I'll go to the store on those two days or maybe I'll just wait for the OTA.

If I feel adventurous enough, I'll update it myself. But man, this feels like android all over again. LOL

Well, at least Nokia Malaysia is offering an alternative to make up for the failed OTA update. For that, I salute the effort. Not sure if the OTA failure is partly due to our telcos -  they are not saying much. Hopefully this update includes the latest ones already made available to users in other countries.

But still, I am scratching my head why Malaysia is so special that we cannot have OTA updates..  hmm.gif  doh.gif
*
Yea, at least they are offering an alternative which is good.
There are still uncertainties over the "update". Which version and whether it is reflashing or an update.

I hope that it's an update. It it's reflashing, then it will really piss many people off biggrin.gif
If it's not the latest version, then a lot of people would be put off as well.

The thing with Nokia Malaysia is they cannot give an ETA and keep you in the dark. It would be good if they at least tell us the process of having an OTA update released. I don't mind waiting for an update if I know it's stuck at Telco/government side. But I do mind if I'm kept in the dark and all I'm told is to be patient and wait.

This.

It's rather troublesome to do it. What sort of difficulties I wonder ... If Thai can do it, SG can do it, why not MY? We don't have expertise here? We don't have facilities here? In fact, our phones aren't even telcos bound. They can't even route it somewhere else in the SEA region? I'm very disappointed with them.
*
Sigh, delayed again. Really don't understand the reason of this. It's just a simple process of mapping a firmware to another firmware and the OTA should be working. Or if they need another server, it's just copying some configurations and modifying them.

the reason why I'm waiting for the OTA is because I have some apps data inside which is not saved to the cloud. If I reflash, all of it will be gone.

Check the Update Phone again.  That should offer you another update.  I have done that this morning so I know it works.
*
Did that, got the update but it doesn't change anything. still the old firmware. You got to 1308 from pre-portico?
