Well, at least Nokia Malaysia is offering an alternative to make up for the failed OTA update. For that, I salute the effort. Not sure if the OTA failure is partly due to our telcos - they are not saying much. Hopefully this update includes the latest ones already made available to users in other countries.
But still, I am scratching my head why Malaysia is so special that we cannot have OTA updates..

Yea, at least they are offering an alternative which is good.
There are still uncertainties over the "update". Which version and whether it is reflashing or an update.
I hope that it's an update. It it's reflashing, then it will really piss many people off

If it's not the latest version, then a lot of people would be put off as well.
The thing with Nokia Malaysia is they cannot give an ETA and keep you in the dark. It would be good if they at least tell us the process of having an OTA update released. I don't mind waiting for an update if I know it's stuck at Telco/government side. But I do mind if I'm kept in the dark and all I'm told is to be patient and wait.
